police presence on Lagos road is mainly for extortion and not for security, you will hardly see police on patrol interface on francas. LASTMA are needed for traffic control on the congested Lagos road, I hope they will thread with caution this time. FRSC and VIO are the most useless on Lagos road! there presence is making life unbearable for road users...... .abeg check my signature for affordable door, wardrobes and kitchen cabinet |

Let's see how human trafficking, ritualists, weapons trade, robbed properties and other abominations move freely. Same people praising the empty streets will begin to complain or rejoice that their above business is thriving. Some people cannot think beyond their bellies. |

So this stupid guys feel it was a war against the police force, stupid dumb ass individuals. Instead of them to brace up, they're retaliating by leaving their duty post? If the youth want retaliate again, mhen it's gonna be a night mare. You guys are paid to do a job, do it as according to the police act and not add salt and Maggi, period! If you feel you can't do it and there are other things that should be added to the Act to make your work more entising like collection of bribes by motorist and innocent individuals then approach the proper authority, not until then do your job or you offer a resignation, that is a reformation we asked for else if we rise up to become our own security, e no go funny o. |

Lending her voice to the whole fiasco, a security consultant and CEO of Crime Fighters, Chief Aisha Tosan, said: “The organizers of #EndSARS protests should have factored in the vulnerability of Lagos environment, considering the fact that Lagos is infested with area boys. The burden of ensuring that the protest was not hijacked by these sets of persons was their responsibility”. So protesters are supposed to protect themselves??. How?. What is the function of the police in saner clime? The police deserved what they got.... They been abusing the masses for far too long |

MejiLoyon: Benin city’s Anti-crime dept police boss Iyamu was typical of Nigeria police. Iyamu was in alliance with the dreaded armed robbery gang in Benin city led by Osunbor and Anini. Let the political leaders restructure Nigeria to make the country prosperous and decrease the intensity of violent crimes of the youths. Policing every one kilometer shall not be necessary. |

Great Britain that created Nigeria doesn’t have Police road blocks. The few police officers that patrol the streets are not usually armed with guns. The police in Great Britain work on information and suspicion. Let Nigeria’s political leaders restructure Nigeria to become governable like Great Britain, or dissolve the country for more manageable countries to emerge from Nigeria. Police and other armed forces on road blocks is sign of a failed country. |

The roads are saner without them as we have experienced in the last few days, these hoodlums issues has been highly political and mostly as a result of anger from several areas. In the end the people I fear are the policemen, who might try to justify their absence on the streets with planned and sponsored thefts and burglars. |
