I really don't know why some Nigerians are selfish with their thoughts..

Cos you don't like Buhari does not mean you should be praying for nonsense sanction which will eventually affect the common masses...

It's not about Buhari it's about doing the right thing.

Buhari has been a passenger on the presidential seat and his nonchalance in addressing immediate issues is distressing.

Even before the intervention of army, the protesters were already infringing on the right of other Nigerians.

I blamed FG for not proactive on the protesters immediately SARS was disbanded.. Even Trump had to send Federal troops to quench the BLM protest
. Which rights were they infringing on?

How will sanctions on government officials affect the common masses?
Instead it will make the country better. If their kids cannot go to school abroad it will force them to fix our schools. If baba cannot go to London to clean his ear, he will fix the asso villa clinic. If they cannot relax in their mansions abroad, they will make security, good road etc available so they can live in peace and drive their rolls royce on good roads.

Don't ever compared Subsidy protest with ENDSARS protest... Even upon how organised the subsidy protest was ( Organised by Cambridge Analytical on behalf of the then opposition) , there was still some deaths and casualities..
Subsidy protest was political and the opposition party. Endsars was the voice of the oppressed people. It was so easy to chase mc oluomo and sowore away.

You cannot charge someone for intention to violate a curfew that is yet to commence. It is only after 9PM that anyone can be said to have violated curfew.

Furthermore the Army has come out to say at the Judicial Panel that they did not go to Lekki Toll Gate to enforce curfew but were on their way to Epe!

That excuse is utter rubbish, there are so many alternate routes on that road that passing the tollgate is unnecessary. Just another useless lie, I hope they come down hard on these idiots.

The Federal Government, yesterday, said it was in touch with officials of the British government to present its side of the #EndSARS story.

This comes after the resolution of the United Kingdom Parliament to impose sanctions on some Nigerian officials over their role in the “violent suppression” of the protests.

Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama, told State House correspondents at the end of the weekly Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting in Abuja that it was not within the purview of the legislators to impose restrictions but added that it was necessary to espouse Nigeria’s position for an informed decision.

He said: “The UK government has been briefed. There was a UK parliamentarian meeting and the UK government, which acts for the United Kingdom, has also heard the side of the (Nigerian) government regarding everything that has happened.

“So, we have been in touch with them and engaging them. As in every democracy, members of parliament are also able to air their views.

“What is important is that a balanced picture is made available to them before they take any decision.”

It added: “We also call on other countries, including United States, France, the United Arab Emirates, and South Africa, to impose similar sanctions against indicted officials of the Buhari administration for human rights violations and crime against humanity.”

NIGERIA GOVERNMENT HAVE NO REGARD FOR ITS OWN CITIZEN.

BUT THEY ARE AFRAID OF FOREIGN POWERS.

The federal government is quick to respond to statement from foreign powers but they bluntly ignore its own citizen.

When foreign powers breath over Nigeria the federal government catches cold.

WE ALL SAW HOW OBASANJO WAS USELESS BEFORE THE UNITED NATION AND CAMEROUN OVER THE DISPUTED BAKASSI PENINSULA THAT WAS EVENTUALLY AWARDED TO CAMEROUN DUE TO OBASANJO 'S STUPIDITY.

We all saw how the federal government could not manage the P & I Contract which subsequently led to a UK court initially awarded damages against the Nigeria government but for the grace of God Nigeria would have been bankrupt paying for that initial verdict.

ALL OF THEM ARE AFRAID THAT THE BRITISH GOVERNMENT WILL DENY THEM VISA AND SANCTION THEM FROM COMING TO UK FOR VISA OR MEDICAL TOURISM.

But they were not afraid to draft KOROFO Soldier to shoot at innocent protesters at the Lekki Toll gate in Lagos state.

Apologize?

Has SARS not been disbanded? What was the further protest for?

So Lagos State first declared curfew at 4pm on the day of Lekki event, but considering those that would be caught unaware, it was moved to 9pm.

According to the report, the army arrived at the scene at 7: 45pm when the protesters was just about to start their party.

Does it mean they were ready to defy the curfew declared if not for the army intervention?
you never still get sense at your age.. Be truthful for once.. The army arrived before 7pm

Fake news, a small committee of the UK parliament held a 90 minute discussion to address the the sanction petition with no official resolutions.
Just Audio posturing.
The entire UK government in still on Covid-19 lockdown.
Not worth Naija government wasting any time on at this juncture.

Curfew was for 9 but the army arrived at 7:45. A whole lot can be done in 1 hour and 15 minutes. To avoid this kind of troubles, the army should have waited until the appointed 9. Plus the sanctions won't affect common masses that can hardly feed theselves talkless travel abroad. Those guys said sanctions for government officials found culpable.

However, that does not mean I agree with U.K or any country meddling with our internal affairs. Can we sanction them for whatever happens in their own country? Condemning government actions is the most I expect from any country. This is how we invite them in and make them our overlords only to start complaining later.
you want to sanction who big pass you? You when nor gree develop your self when you get everything at your disposal. When you always run to them for loans and good health facilities, why can't they call you to order or even sanction and ban you? undecided

Nigerian govt have put untold hardship on nigerians. Sanctions would affect us and them. Besides, the sanctions is specifically directed at govt officials who have a hand in the shootings. Go and readup on it.

Now that's the problem. We cannot keep having mechanics (Obasanjo) and herdsmen (Buhari) as our policy maker and not be controlled by better thinking people. It's such a shame.

so applying deadly force is better for those who disobeyed curfew? that's unjustifiable. Anyway Nigerians ve so taken abnormalities to be normal so I'm not surprised
