Obagreatdatoye: Imo is finer and more developed both based on picture and live experience. Akwaibom is comparable to Ebonyi in good roads, flyovers and public structures but beautiful private investments are missing. That's why the pictures on this thread are focused on either roads or government structures without full view of well built cities. 3 Likes |

Proud to call it y State.. Lovely work.. Many ask if this is Nigeria, yes it is. BUT we have one problem. MAINTENANCE... It is not about putting up lovely structures, the thing is are they functioning? And they are, Are they maintained? |

Accept it or not, Akpabio is the one that change the face of akwa ibom in terms of development and other areas. Before now akwa ibomite were known for house boy and girl. Akpabio change that syndrome in his 8yrs in office. Today Akwa ibomite are proud anywhere they are to say I am from Akwa ibom. God bless Godswill Akpabio. chijokz: 7 Likes |

This is what Yorubas, Igbos and northerners are afraid of that they will never leave ND oil alone for ND to handle. They don't want one side to look like Dubai and then the other side like the Morocco desert. 2 Likes |

It looks nice and like someone said, Uyo's economy isn't thriving that much. In Onitsha the economy is thriving but the government can't keep up with road construction. See this estate full of beautiful mansions built on dusty roads. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I-A5JO5dnNE Subscribe and enable notification, thanks. 1 Like |

Movic1: Bro,most state focus their developments mostly on the state capital, with little to show in the rest towns in the entire state. Pls,just change it to 5 top most beautiful cities in Nigeria. I hardly see a state with all it's towns & cities called beautiful. |

FOXDOSSIER:bro, pls you can't compare ibadan with other because it's ancient city like kano with big land mass(biggest in nigeria and west africa). i repeat no Governor can develop ibadan in 20 years, go and look at some massive development in some area in ibadan bigger than many state capital. 7 Likes 1 Share |

Sammy07: Calabar is now a shadow of itself due to bad leadership. Before Uyo becomes what it is today, Calabar use to pride itself as the cleanest greenest city in Nigeria, but now it is nothing to write home about. Tinapa used to be Africa's Premier Business and Leisure Resort.... But the vast land and buildings there has been overtaken by weeds. Someone earlier today posted about how Efiks were the ones selling other tribes to the during slave trade, and I replied him that while other people are developing their states he is talking about who sold who to who, and which culture was deported to where and all sort of nonsense. Akwa Ibom is moving towards the direction of modern development. Akwa Ibom is the land of promise. 2 Likes |

Sammy07: Calabar is not trying anything. Ben Ayade only knows how to speak English. What Calabar is enjoying is past glory. Though Calabar is very neat. That is the only reason I like it. The state is majoring a civil service state |

Rossnitti: Calm down, Nigeria is not giant anything. These are oil producing states and should be way more than this. No state in Nigeria has stable electricity, none has water supplied by govt, none has proper housing scheme..none has proper emergency services, the cities are so organized, generator nosie eveywhere, open gutters, poor waste management system, poor health care system, poor educational system, etc. Development does not mean fine fine houses. Development goes beyond that. We need to hold our leaders accountable. We can afford better country but our leaders have decided to loot away our resources. These other counties u mentioned are not as rich such as Nigeria.. Compare Nigeria with her rich mates like Egypt, South Africa, morocco, Tunisia, Algeria. Nigeria is not near these countries in terms of development. Don't even talk of smaller and more organized countries like Botswana and Namibia. Well secured and regarded as upper middle class country. That is a huge plus. These countries have stable football leagues with great tourism industry that attracts massive Europeans. And u know what it takes to have great tourism industry that attteacts Europeans? That means u must have working systems. Nigeria shouldn't be comparing her self with Ghana, Kenya, these countries are not as rich as Nigeria. Yet, they are more organized than Nigeria. 1 Like |

Movic1: Why are northern states not here. Lagos is not fine please. Only the Island is fine. The mainland are not fine. Many northern capitals are beautiful too. Northern state capitals have some of the best road in Nigeria. |
