Don't mind them, let them keep losing their so called businesses daily as a result of hate by other people who call themselves fellow nigerians.

Even fellow 'owners' are badly affected. What is bad is bad, lose the close-minded, parochial mentality!

Jeez, you people think everything is about you, don't you think that if you obey and respect the authorities of the land you'll do well and prosper... Learn from the Jews you all love to claim; they aren't loose talkers and it has served them well

Biafra Nation only needs 10 years, and it will be the envy of all African countries. This is the reason why you all need to support division of Zoogeria

I grew up in FESTAC and still visit the Town weekly cause some of my activities revolve around the town, really it was a site to beholding seeing these caterpillar pull down that market, gist has it that the iya loja was aware of the demolition but chose to put the traders in the dark because of her selfish reason. What happened at 23 road market is typical of how government at all level behave, no prior notice, no proper plan for the traders and no proper dialogue with all the stake holders. Last last govt na scam

It think it's high time governments that want to demolish illegal structures or settlements publish notice of such intentions on widely read papers and paste notices in the market or area so no one comes to claim that they were not notified. Rather than just leaving it in the hands of greedy market leaders who will hide information and keep milking shop/stall owners until they are taken unawares!

But when Anambla demolished shops it’s not a threat right?

You can’t blackmail the government with all this emotional rubbish and I think the SW is already living up to that blackmail and it is not business as usual.

When it happens in your domain it’s good, but when it happens in the SW you scream blue murder.

If you can’t respect the laws here, then advise your people to go back home where you can remain lawless.

My uncle who is an ikorodu indigine had half of his house in ikorodu demolished when a road needed to be expanded. There were also countless people like him but we didn't see people whining and turning it into a tribal issue....but now flatin0s won't let us hear word

You should learn to follow government master plan, so many shanties were destroyed last month and many are still going down, Lagos is not a place you come and build without approval, it's the same you screaming Lagos is a glorified slum , we thank you for calling our attention to it, and considering the level of insecurity now I think government need to take action, you all saw what happened there weeks ago when hoodlums chased away police men there..

You can not see a well laid out street and start building rubbish which is not in the plan, those are the things you guys did that disfigured festac. Festac used to be a beautiful place but not anymore
Bros that market is not a shanty, its the most organised market in festac. I stayed in festac for 25 years

Can they all swear by their destiny that today is the first time they are hearing about the demolition? I don't support hardship on the people but when government give notice to vacate, even if it takes government 3,6 or 1year to come for demolition, pls start packing up and make alternative arrangement and move your things out as fast as possible. There is a road that needs to be dualize along my area and government has marked them for 5months now and I keep saying it that the people in the area who has refused to relocate will claim ignorant of the notice when d day of demolition comes.

Foolishness is you thinking festac is an igbo area, most of your brothers only rent those shops from landlords who are either yoruba or from other regions, but your victim mentality makes you see things differently, still if you disobey the laws of the land were you do business you'll find life really difficult, if you obey the laws and respect the authorities you'll prosper. South West will not be a region of lawlessness so you can cry all you want.

What are you saying? That market that took years to build. Market that started at the time of Raji Rasaki. If you know festac well as you claim to I am very sure you gre up to meet that market.

The shops in that market are modern day shops . What do you mean by shanties. A lockup shop in thay market at 1996 to 98 was going for 50k. What do you mean by shanties?
