Kongulu:

Look at this decayed animal, greedy Yamree have you seen the FESTAC masterplan?

Better go back to your Potor-potor Biafra

How do you expect that one that lives in a rural village in alaigbo understand what the masterplan signifies? grin

Festac is an Igbo area, whole of Amuwo Odorin. No drag that one if you say VI OR Ikoyi? But festac Ibos are plenty there. Hotels to warehouses to residential houses and estates.

TheLionofLasigi:

Foolishness is you thinking festac is an igbo area, most of your brothers only rent those shops from landlords who are either yoruba or from other regions, but your victim mentality makes you see things differently, still if you disobey the laws of the land were you do business you'll find life really difficult, if you obey the laws and respect the authorities you'll prosper. South West will not be a region of lawlessness so you can cry all you want.

I live in Festac and that 23 rd market is the only well built and structured market in Festac.
That market does not intrude or affect any master plan unlike Agboju market at second gate Festac which is located along the road and causes alot of traffic in that area.

In times like these every body would want to say one thing or the other but only those who live in Festac knows that Onyilola market which is 23 rd market is the best with tarred ground and structured to standard, honestly so many market can't even compete with it, although not all the shops are taken. The market is always clean. The market leaders should have looked for ways to fill up the market.

It's really unfair how govt treat people. Almost everything is done for their selfish gain. Very soon they start asking people to pay money so they can build another market for them.

You are absolutely correct. For those born and raised there, what you see now brings tears to your eyes. It's now a slum compared to what it used to be. Festac is dead.

Festac is now a shadow of what it used to be in the 80s

I grew up in FESTAC and still visit the Town weekly cause some of my activities revolve around the town, really it was a site to beholding seeing these caterpillar pull down that market, gist has it that the iya loja was aware of the demolition but chose to put the traders in the dark because of her selfish reason. What happened at 23 road market is typical of how government at all level behave, no prior notice, no proper plan for the traders and
no proper dialogue with all the stake holders. Last last govt na scam
You are a big scam ursef; this isn’t rivers or imo or kaduna that they demolish anyhow. Can you say it with fact there wasn’t prior notice for the traders and can back it up?
