RuddyFusion:Your representatives can't do anything about it. Even the governors who are called chief security officers don't have control over any force, and you are talking about representatives. The point is Nigeria has two different laws. The laws in the south are different from the laws in the north |

Chigold101:who's talking about control here,? They have the contacts....they can bring it up in both houses....they can visit the heads of those agencies and talk about it....they can make it a national discuss....they can influence changes there so don't tell me that they can't do anything..... |

BIGPREEQ: It is Buhari way of show of force to the easternerns because of Nnamdi kalu activities, he want to ensure no form of opposition comes from the east. He started that program from 2015 when he came in. He removed all the checkpoints in Abuja and the north and sent them down to the south, the east in particular. Before the jihadist took office, there used to be a heavy policing of Abuja and its environ, but he removed all of then, the CCTV in FCT were all removed. Can u believe Abuja is the only city in nigeria without CCTV? He doesn't want his fulani foot soldiers activities monitored. I travel every month around the north, u can hardly see any check point even with heavy presence of his terrorist brothers every where. From Abuja to kontagora is about 400km drive, there is only four places u can see police patrol vehicles parked. The only place u may see a check point is after yekila, and they are brisk, nothing else. That is why the bandits and terrorists are having a field day here in the north. There are no checks. The marlian bandits are now moving Enmass into the country because of the lucrative robbery and kidnapping business. Very soon, the south west will be overwhelmed by the activities of this bandits because they can easily find a common ground to launch an attack, the mosque. Nigerians are still jonsing, thinking their politicians will do some thing about it. But, they will be taken by surprise. 1 Like |

RuddyFusion:Bros... They can't make it a national discuss because it's not a national issue. Why did I say so? Check the number of reps from the North West/North Central (without the North East) then compare it with the number of reps from South East/South West/South South. If you check it you will see the reason why it can't be discussed. Because it's not happening like that in the north that has more members in each of the Chambers of our National Assembly. Even if it's discussed, it won't change anything because the Service Chiefs are only answerable to the President. 2 Likes |

andrewmeddy8:Lol.. Northern Metropolis? How many percentage of Northerners live in Northern Metropolis? So it is the East that is not enjoying peace, even in the Outskirts? The forces mounting roadblocks in the East are after their pockets and not because of any security challenges in the East.. Some of them BEGGED to be posted to the East.. Zero threat to their lives, maximum extortion of motorists, what else is more ideal than that? |

BIGPREEQ: For the northern cabal ruling Nigeria irrespective of where a president comes from, the desires are: 1) the crude oil and gas in the Niger Delta must be secured for Nigeria through heavy policing of the Igbos by Police and other armed forces. 2) Strangulate the SE through continuation of economic war after the shooting civil war. But strangulation of the eastern part of one’s country while unchecked insurgents destroy the northern parts of the same country amounts to destruction of the whole country. 2 Likes |

chatinent: Because the political structure of 36 states and Abuja created by northern soldiers for the benefit of the north practically consigned ownership of Nigeria to the far north politicians who lead the rest of northern zones. |

If there is security check point on the road, you complain it's too much... If there's no check point on the roads, you will still complain that the security agencies have abandoned eastern roads... What exactly do you people want?? |

Originalsly:The east has the lowest number of senators and HoR members in the federal legislature. To worsen matters, most are in opposition., And under the APC regime, being in the opposition or not voting for the "Messiah-president" is actually a crime against humanity. . You can only get a motion approved without any back up actions.. That said, I tpstill think if they come together to agitate against that under a humane government, action will be taken. But is buharis a humane government? That which is right is right! We have a sitting IG, a police affairs Minister, a minister of the interior, why should they allow this to be normalised over time? I just think that if you don't do roforofo in this country, nobody takes you serious. If the youths start a massive protests against this, you may start to see some changes but then it will also create avoidable bad blood between the police and the people. Bad as their imsge looks, the police is still an integral part of a modern society.. I just think every interest group fighting against this evil should keep it on the front bunner until noticeable changes are effected.. 2 Likes |

There's a reason that made Ojukwu to declare for Biafra. It's not only the East that are in it, the west are also in it but everybody knows that some who claim to be civilized, don't want war or utterances that could lead to war are rather enduring their fate, hoping on God to send Moses than taking care of the situation. While in the north, they say and act anything that comes to their mind, down south, even expression of observation will attract fellow southerners to condemn and claim not to want war as if you asked for war in your factual observation. Why should you claim ownership of Nigeria when you are not equally treated with another Nigerian? Only Cowards fear to speak and act out their mind for the fear of fight, only zombies are comfortable to be identified as second or third class citizens when their co-citizens are seen and treated as first class for no reason other than birth place. 1 Like |
