Basicend: You guys are surprising, is the car for everyone? This your complaint is akin to complaining that Rolls Royce is too expensive and shouldn’t be sold in Nigeria because the masses can’t afford it. You’re a comedian |

RisenPhoenix1:accelerating and decelerating is actually good for electric cars.. There is something called regenerative braking, most electric cars have it. Everytime you decelerate, your battery gains charges. (Google regenerative braking for more details) As for ac, the consumption is usually very minimal. Atleast on popular brand. Watch this video on that if you have enough data. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g9SmUW3Abpk 2 Likes |

Haha Haha I laugh in Greek. Somebody is about to realise the terrible mistake they made building a refinery in 2021. The electric car is taking off and I love it! Anyway I heard crude oil is edible so it may have other uses. Instead of them to build an electric car research and assembly plant they sank billions of dollars into the sea. Mumu 1 Like |

Even my old 1992 landcruiser goes faster than this car 0-60, quite slow. You know how infinix battery swells sometimes. That's how this vehicle floor may sweel and lose shape due to charging from the wrong power source |

Re: Hyundai Kona To Run For 482 Km When Charged, Charging Takes 9.35 Hours by kolaaderin: 8:46am On Feb 08, 2021 |
onyiloyi:still an ignorant talk. Electric motor is not internal combustion engine, it is far more energy efficient, do not have much frictional forces that will generate heat energy as wasted energy instead of kinetic for movement. Explaining your worries, how much kilowatt of power do you buy to your prepaid meter to last you a month. Use the same money to buy fuel to your generator and tell me how many days it will last you for the same load of usage. If you load your meter with say 10k for a month, that same 10k worth of fuel in generator will barely last you more that 24 hours nonstop. Do you now understand the logic. 1 Like |

englishmart:I find it hard to make sense of this product in Nigeria but do not agree with it being a stupîd innovation. If mega solar or wind powered charging spots can be built, it will ease the entrance of this idea into our activities. |
Re: Hyundai Kona To Run For 482 Km When Charged, Charging Takes 9.35 Hours by CodeTemplar: 9:14am On Feb 08, 2021 |
This product should be modified into molues and buses for intra-city movement. Imagine Lagos having a handful of solar or wind powered charging spots or stations and their BRTs being electric vehicles. It will make more sense that way. This product can be our own short term answer to underground trains and monorails in advanced nations. 2 Likes |

NinjaMetahuman: Interesting. Thank you. He's a little off with his calculations though. The battery dropped one percentage point in about 9 minutes. So that type of car would need at least 25% charge for a 4 hour sit in a hold up. Still, it's manageable. My only hope is that PHCN can live up to the task, especially with the huge increase in consumption when electric cars become mainstream. Plus the fact that almost everyone would want to charge at night while sleeping causing a nightly overload. In my opinion, the little electricity we generate should be better put to use running our factories for now. 1 Like |

ProtectMyMoney: And the charging port will be supplied power by fuel-powererd generators. I don't see the sense in that. The best way to go is to have solar powered self-charging cars. |

AnonPoet:This is very economical, even if you are to charge with a generator, @ #170.00 per liter , you can buy 10 litre of petrol for #1700.00 for a full charge. But #1700.00 fuel on normal petrol car cannot do Over 400klm. |

Gbemini: That's enough to go to work and return. Most office places have steady lights so I don't think there would be a problem. Do you know what 482km means? It's huge bro. Once charged, the car can be used for a whole week if all you do is home to work, to market, church/mosque and social events within the state |

9 hours is not my problem, the problem is with the 51% increase in power tariff, it will be a case of penny wise pound foolish, unless you have an alternative source of Power. |

VanBommel:The solution of Nigeria's problem is when we start beating local government chairmen. That's the only arm of government that deals directly with the people. Currently we don't disturb them for anything and they just relax and chop money. 1 Like |

hopkinsnoni:Oya na? Where's the alternative source of power? It's quite foolish for anybody to buy electrical cars and tools, without first having the electricity required to run said equipment. Why do we keep on doing this shit in Nigeria? This video is all about energy sources used in UK. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wFIVfwTUQmw I lived there for 4 years and there was 24/7/365 electricity. In fact the residents don't even know that there's such a thing as "No Nepa". We can only learn and copy their style here before we start talking of electric cars. But their electric bill was costly O!!! -- See UK street. NO NEPA pole/line anywhere. All was buried underground.

GloShare:Honestly. You wonder if many Nigerians attended primary school. Infact 100km is way more than even 4 regular days of daily commute. And with the fast charging adapter it could get 80% in an hour. way cheaper than gas by far. |
