Tough questions about relationships, can you answer it. The rules are simple. Whatever options you picked in scenario one, you must pick in scenario two, you can't switch, so are you ready?

Scenario 1

Let's imagine you are married to a woman you love. You get along fine with her and your family. One day in your absence she gets into a verbal exchange with your mother while you are at work.

She calls to inform you before you return so you can have her back cause you are her husband. So as you get home, you wife is outside to welcome you and lead you inside, your mom is waiting for you patiently in the living room, as soon as you walk in she begins to call out your wife in your presence while your wife nudges at you to confront her on her behalf, what will you do?

(A) confront your mom and defend your wife as a lover boy?

(B) side with your mom as a mommy's boy?

(C) become the CONFUSED FELLOW and try to BEG EVERYONE like you were the cause of the fight and be seen as a weak man?

(D) rebuke everyone including your mother and wife and become the NEW VILLAIN as the disrespectful man?

(E) Ignore everyone and be termed disrespectful and insensitive, as the heartless man?

(F) Try to know who is wrong in the situation and BLAME THAT PARTY ALONE, and be seen as A JUDGE and not a CARING SON or LOVING HUSBAND?

Scenario 2.

You have been married to your husband, who has been such a blessing. One day you go to the market and before you can come back your husband calls you on the phone and started complaining bitterly about the heated argument he and your father just had at your back and that it is still on going. You quickly rush home. At the door your husband is waiting for you, in the dining room your dad is waiting for you also. And as soon as you walk in with your husband he begins to tackle him again in your presence, while your husband nudges at you to confront him on his behalf, what will you do?

(A)confront your dad and defend your husband as a lover girl?

(B) side with your dad as a daddy's girl?

(C) become the CONFUSED FELLOW and try to BEG EVERYONE like you were the cause of the fight?

(D) rebuke everyone including your dad and husband and become the NEW VILLAIN?

(E) Ignore everyone and be termed disrespectful and insensitive?

(F) Try to know who is wrong in the situation and BLAME THAT PARTY ALONE, even if it's your husband or father?

Tough one.

I'll rather be the Judge.

I will also like her to be the judge too in my case.

Nobody is above mistake.

If you make mistake as a husband apologise to your inlaws, no need to drag your wife's loyalty to you into it.

Same thing as a wife, if you make mistake towards your inlaws, apologise for it, no need to drag your husband's loyalty to you into it.

My view though.

I will beg everyone o...I can't come and kill myself untop woman matter, and I don't even have the strength to start judging their issue, cos the problem about judging is that there will always be a guilty party. That guilty party who will either be your wife or mum as the case might be will hate you for taking sides with the other person. That that will spark the beginning of hostilities in your house.

I think this is tagged at onlyfacts. But if you only beg and the issue is not addressed, hostilities will still exist between mom and wife. Your indecisiveness may even earn you some too.

I disagree...by begging I meant this.

I'll tell my mum and her to make peace regardless of what cause their issues, I'll activate my emotional blackmailing skills by telling them both that their fight will only lead me to an early grave making her (my wife a widow and my mum without a child) when I'm done with my begging I'll take them out for lunch and case solved.

What caused it will no longer be necessary, I didn't take anyone's side I stepped in and absorbed the blame so the two will be fine.

Judging like I stated earlier will make the guilty party hate you...no matter how much you try to point it out to her that she was wrong she will always blame you for siding with the other party against her.

These are not regular friends we're talking about here, they're the two most important women in your life who love you with everything in them. So sperating an argument between them has to be done with wisdom or else you'll end up creating a problem that wouldn't be solved in your lifetime.

I see your point, nice take, really nice.

Your approach is slightly suited more to your mother though.
Your wife may be expecting she takes first preference though.

I will beg everyone ooh..when everyone is calm and at peace then I will address the issues individually..
I won't rebuke my husband in the presence of my father neither will I rebuke my father in the presence of my husband..
I will just talk to them individually..

It's like begging is the new trend grin.

What if it was the other way round, will you be happy your husband begs you and his mother equally without taking sides?

Yes..it won't be nice for a man to raise his voice on his mother in the front of the wife and vice-versa..I have brothers and I know how it will feel if they raise their voice on my mother because of a woman knowing fully well what she went through for us..
Its better you rebuke them privately that's respect and honor..

Besides I don't subscribe to parents living with their children especially if the marriage is still young..unless she's coming for holidays, medical trip or omugwu..

Why would I be the judge when I no study law or constitution in school... Best thing to do is to talk beg them both first. Later converse with them privately... But don't play the blaming game.... If u are to blame, do it stylishly without anyone being hurt

what will make one or both to see u as a weak man is if u try to judge them publicly... Doing it privately will make u feel like a king without breaking anyone's feelings.

I will pick option 'C' I will beg everyone so peace can reign and find out a way to make their grievances handled to an extent even if it's not totally so both can be happy i.e after begging them and they calm down o.
If not another day again dem go still quarrel on top that same matter.

There should be an option G, which is that at the heat of the moment, tell my wife to go inside the room, so I can have a conversation with my mum first. Afterwards, see my wife later to hear her own part. When things are calm, bring them together and iron things out. Simple.
