EzeUche__: Believe me climate control comes standard with this regalia. I think its one of the great things about Nigeria that you get to see different cultures particularly when sold by the number one citizen. If it were in other parts such dress sense by Mr. President will become a status symbol for at least the next four years. What next, the fulani dog ears and Nadal shorts ?? |

Gbawe, every thing about the President's attire looks western to me. There is nothing indigenous about his dressing. It's good his people are trying to be creative with the white man's attire but I think this one comes across as a little goofy for a President. |
Re: Why Does The Nigerian President Dress Like A Clown? by THEAMAKA(f): 5:08pm On Apr 22, 2011 |
Martass:we are talking traditional not indigenous. if we are talking indigenous, then everyone would practically be naked. this is the CULTURE of his people, so deal with it. go and look up the history of the hat and the attire and then you shall know. |

mama-gee: So what makes him a clown and you are not? Just keep staying over there where you currently sojourn and keep wondering why people who are on ground and obviously know better than you voted him |

Nothing wrong his dressing IMO. I think it conveys the GEJ theme - simple, down to earth, servant leader and overall, it demystifies that over-complex swagger that comes with being a nation's number one citizen and that's what makes him appeal to the people. It, in a way, brings him closer to the people. |

Jonathan's dressing shouldn't be rated! His dress sense is outright weird for a President who represents millions of people. How can a man attend a meeting with foreign leaders dressed like an ousted traditional ruler? |
