That's how nairaland works. You give us something, we give you something in return.

You have nothing to give, you neither have the requisite experience nor capacity. You're only looking for gossip to help you escape the misery that envelops your life.

All I can say is that marriage is overrated.

I don't ever want to get married.

mutter:
Interestingly enough I was having a conversation last week with my ex husband.
I have been remarried cover 23 years.
For the first time he was ready to talk reasonably about where it went wrong.
In retrospect if we were wiser we might have kept the marriage upright because we really did love ourselves.
Despite his atrocities... and they were many, I made effort to keep a good communication and I thank God for that.
It must not always end in scandal and fighting.
Strangely enough we remained good friends.
We advise and encourage one another in difficult times. Z
When a marriage has broken down irretrievably its time to part ways but one should do so in a humane way.

Why don't you tell us about your own atrocities.

For your Daughters, do all you can to win custody, you'll be fine. Asides that, nothing else would worth your peace... so relax please.

I really feel so bad for those kids. They will not find it easy. They're vulnerable and it will get worse as they grow into adolescence without a mother around to guide them, a father that will be too busy to care for them, a nanny that will abuse them and friends that may mislead them.
I think you two are just being too selfish and wicked that you place your own happiness and satisfaction over those innocent children that didn't beg to be born. Whatever you do, I want you to know that you and your estranged wife will be judged if anything bad happen to those children.

DONT YOU THINK I KNOW THIS? WHAT DO YOU THINK I HAVE BEEN DOING ALL THIS WHILE? I HAVE BEGGED HER, KNELT DOWN TO HER COUNTLESS TIMES AND EVEN IN FRONT OF HER UNCLE AND OTHER KINSMEN. DO YOU THINK I DONT WANT MY KIDS TO BE RAISED BY THERE MOM? EVEN SHE RAN AWAY WITH OUR KIDS. I HAVE SENT HER COUNTLESS MESSAGES TO GIVE ME LAST CHANCE. WHAT IS MY OFFENSE YOU WILL ASK! THAT I TALK TOO MUCH AND MY PEOPLE NEVER WELCOMED HER. MY MOM HAS REACHED OUT TO HER TO RECONCILE US SAME AS MY DAD STILL SHE DOESNT WANT TO HAVE A RETHINK ABOUT ALL THIS. THE NEGATIVE EFFECT OF ALL THIS ON MY KIDS IS WHAT SCARES ME TO PIECES. PLEASE IF ANY OF YOU WOULD HELP IN THIS MATTER, I WILL GREATLY AND GLADLY APPRECIATE IT. NOW! THE LAST MEETING WE HAD WITH HER KINSMEN WERE I KNELT DOWN AND APOLOGIZED, THE UNCLE BEGGED HER TO HAVE A RETHINK BUT SHE SAID NO ( SHE IS JUS 25YEARS OLD AND I AM 35YEARS) . SINCE THIS IS THE CASE, MY DAD CALLED HER UNCLE TELLING HIM THAT WE WOULD COME TO TAKE THE KIDS SINCE SHE IS THE ONE THAT HAS DECEIDED NOT TO MARRY AGAIN! AND THE UNCLE ACCEPTED. WE HAVE BEEN GIVEN BETWEEN NOW AND MONTH END TO COME AND TAKE THE KIDS. THIS IS NEVER MY INTENTIONS BUT IT SEEMS THERE IS NOTHING I CAN DO( MY KIDS ARE 5YEARS AND 3YEARS OLD). PLEASE IF ANYONE HAS ANY HELP OR ADVICE FOR ME CAN CALL ME : 09077282677. AND I WILL APPRECIATE THE HELP. COS AS IT STANDS NOW MY WORLD IS ABOUT TO CRUMBLE AND I AM SO HELPLESS TO DO ANYTHING.

You'll be fine just avoid the temptation of checking her social media or calling her
Try to hang around family and friends more
Stay off relationship for now (that is if you don't have a side baby already)
Learn to appreciate yourself more do not be too hard on yourself by blaming yourself on what happened
Talk about your experiences and mistakes do not bottle things in
Never take for granted lessons you learnt from your marriage

....and she is the "control freak"! wink
foreman:
Thanks people for your contributions.

My children are girls, very brilliant girls. Apart from their mother being a control freak, I think she is okay to take care of them. The major concern for me is that she seems to be naïve about people around the children. She tried to leave them at a time with one of her siblings to look after them, of course I didn't agree because its a guy, a guy that we drink together sometimes. She allows them go to neighbors house, for extended hours, to play which I have had to intervene in the past. And so many instances that we had serious disagreements. I cannot just imagine my girls left around potential rapists. My wife believes my mind is too dirty. I agree. But I have seen things that makes me suspicious of people and I don't want to take chances, especially with girls. If they were boys, I wouldn't even bother. I grew up on the streets and I believe boys must see ugly side of life.

I am thinking taking them with me and hiring a mature maid will work.

She came into our house at 14. She calls me daddy. Now almost eighteen.

Now shes grown those things, fresh, firm and well shaped. I keep telling myself shes a kid. But my mind will not leave that place.

Madam travelled recently. This "kid" keeps jiggling those succulent things, intentionally or otherwise, I cant tell. Then I couldnt hold myself, I grabbed her when she served my food. I held and suckled like my life depended on them. Funny thing she didn't resist. I managed to let go when my conscience wouldn't let me. I had to visit a brothel to calm nerves that evening. Still throughout the night, my mind couldn't get rid of the twins.

Now, the problem is how do send this girl out of our house without raising suspicion. I am sure if she stays around, what I am trying to avoid will eventually happen.

Hope u didnt dig the girl back then? Now hunting u, this one tongue u far from depression grin grin grin

The Bible actually says divorce and then remarry is adultery. The remarry is the missing word.

You said you you will sue me for defamation, If you had studied law or perhaps the quality of Law they taught you in your backward schools you would have known it is not possible. The Bible must be slow then.

Common sense will tell me domestic abuse/violence is enough reason for divorce.

Common sense will also tell me engaging in crime is enough reason for divorce.

Matthew 5:32
But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth aadultery.

What a pity. Marriage is an encompassing union having spiritual, physical, emotional and phycologically angle to it, but the spiritual aspect overides them all. This is the reason why marriage is binding for life, even where a life is threatened one can seek for space for as long as possible to resolve all naughty issues and restore normalcy, and if that can't be achieved none is permitted to engineer another relationship or involve in sexual activity with another other than their first partner which is the only person recognised by God. In otherword any union that leads to a break up whosoever is responsible for such cannot make heaven except for the clause stated above by Christ.
Let all the magistrate and customary court in the world dissolve a marriage it stands resolute before God. So look well before you leap. No polygamy,no divorce, no remarriage.
So if love blind you to join your chariot with that of a madman you must pull along with him to the end.
