Too bad of them.

Lt. Gen. Attahiru and the others were stalwarts and brave soldiers , who dedicated their career, and now their very lives in the service of this nation and toward the realisation of the noble aspirations this nation represents.
Lt. Gen. Attahiru, just like the others, involved in this tragic incident, served his country with zeal and vigour.
He was known as a soldier’s soldier.
Every good and sane Nigerians must gird themselves and finish the job to which the deceased military officers dedicated and gave their lives for.
Let us remember these brave patriots not with our tears but by achieving victory over the terrorism and violence that seek to rob our nation of its finest destiny.
Let this unfortunate accident not deter us but spur us and our valiant military to continue to defend this land from violence and evil.

Malami is the one controlling the scheme of affairs in Aso Rock at the moment. He replaced Abba Kyari. So I'm not surprised some useless governors whose state is facing serious security challenges chose to attend his son's wedding. I wonder what the morale will look like within the military camp. It's a big shame even Buhari who thinks he's doing Nigeria a favor by being the president didn't attend the burial.

It is not a matter of being related. Nigeria lost its Army chief! In a sane country, all patriotic citizens should be in pensive mood, led by the CIC himself. Attahiru is not a less important person in this government than Malami. Besides, it is not him wedding but his son.

But his position deserves some kind of reference

Imagine US/Russia COAS died, can the state governors gather to attend a wed because it was pre-planned?

Maybe sending delegates would have made sense.

But then what do I know?

And then, this Nigeria anything goes

even the GCFR no attend.

Pls tell us the US COAS? So that a state governor in US will cancel scheduled plans.

Try to be objective when talking. This is a man that ensured those guys can even govern. There is nothing wrong if they made an emergency plan just to show face at the burial and then fly to the wedding. This gives the young soldiers morale and confidence that the political leaders have their back in all their sacrifices for the nation.

Wedding has already been planned and many of them might have already been on the way or arrived the wedding location as at the time the crash happened.

They would likely be making condolence visits on their way back.

Most importantly, No be them kill am.

On the other side, it shouldn't surprise you if half of them weren't even aware of the incident or burial plans considering the amount of undeveloped illiterates we have running things in this area.
