From the early days of Facebook. I don't know exactly. Any time I am having internet it a must I checked.

I got my first account deactivated...when I felt it's becoming clearer that I spend most of my time on the platform.

Thought the site was the problem. stayed a guest to the site after that and registered back later when the realization hit that It could actually contribute to my growth than waste away my time.

My appreciation to Seun. I think the site should be registered on the SEC. . .we could buy the shares like other gaint company are doing.

Thanks for the opportunity to be here again Seun and all others who made it an interesting place.

I can't remember...I just know I was a job seeker at the time, and I think a girl told me about Nairaland's job section and Naijahotjobs forum. This was back in 2008, when Nairaland was kind of still new, and the job section was really popular. Things have changed since back then... Nairaland used to be more of a forum for asking questions then, and having discussions...but it slowly changed to like an entertainment and news website. The rapid change started around 2012-2014...when Linda Ikeji became popular for making millions from her entertainment and gossip blog.

actually before nairaland the most populat forum was owned by an igbo guy nnabros called NAIJARYDERS but the guy didnt have the foresight and long staying power because his site was way more popular than NAIRALAND back then in 2006. so nnabros i think wasnt getting the revenues from advert that he was expecting at the time so he abandoned the site and thats when all the crowd from naijaryders moved to nairaland and nairaland took off from around 2006. so i was here from the start

found this site in 2009. when i got here it was nothing like it is now, there was no tribal bigotry. it was a place where you would get answers you were looking for in the nigeria context. the other site that was discontinued was just for marketplace. i forgot what that is now. now, everything has gone to the dogs...useless people everywhere

edit: nairalist!

I knew about nairaland in 2009 when I was looking for admission, I searched for clue on my school Post-UME on Google, this site pop out with different monikers giving out their opinion.

I registered as a member because I observed the site will give me first hand information I need owing to the fact that most of the members are student of tertiary institutions.

Lolzz, well thanks to Airtel free mode though grin grin cheesy cheesy.

I got to know this platform through Airtel free mode, I was just wondering what are the things under this free basic on that faithful day, though i used to see Wikipedia, then boom I saw nairaland, what could this be?? grin grin that was the question I asked myself, well let me try it.

Gbamm!!! The headlines was madder, well I clicked on it and the comments was out of this world, come and see savagery grin grin grin , it was tribal war though, I nearly laugh my stomach out. grin cheesy grin Yoruba and Igbo ehn, those people can Savage like....

What really caught my attention the most was educational section and the diaries!!!! Dr lagusta and his diaries, jargo, medical students group and likes. Some diaries on this platform are life changer.
