Well said.

Then there's insecurity. The progress we had in agriculture has been reversed due to insecurity. A lot of people can't go farm again. So what do you use these infrastructures to convey when there's no output? In the end, we revert back to importing finished/processed products.

What about Education? A yoruba adage says "omo ti a o ko ni o ma gbe ile ta ko ta. Meaning a child that is not well trained will end up selling all his parents properties. Without proper education, coupled with poverty, one person will just wake up one day and start destroying these infrastructures.

What about corruption and lack of maintenance culture? All these infrastructures will probably go moribund in the next few years. And then we'll start allocating scarce resources on reconstruction.

There's no output meaning you've been eating stone and sand since the beginning of this year?

All u have said hasn't in any way answered d questions I asked or addressed any of d issues I raised:

Is this what u call a comparative analysis based on ur conclusion that "There has been no single President better than Buhari since independence"? I don't see any indices in what u wrote.

In ur number 3 point for instance, what are d figures? What's d reality on ground? What's d living standard of Nigerians since 2015 compared to before 2015? How has d economy been diversified? What has it been diversified to? how much revenue came in since 2015, how was it utilised that made u say "prudent management of economy"?

You have to take every aspect of governance since 1960 (taking into cognisance section 14 (2b) of d constitution), compare every administration since 1960 and mirror against d buhari administration using every single aspect of governance as indices.

I do not expect you to recognize that I have answered your questions.

These things are way beyond you.

You have allowed hate for Buhari to becloud your reasoning.

If you care, do your research on government's earnings from non-oil sectors in the last 15 - 20 years to figure out things for yourself.

Make I leave you...you obviously do not have what to say.

Where is ur comparative analysis of d buhari administration with all other Nigerian govts since 1960? Since u did ur research, answering my questions shouldn't be a challenge for u:

Do your own research.

Stop being lazy.

How long ago was the Itakpe-Warri Railway started?

How long ago was the 2nd Niger Bridge conceived?

Why do pensioners now receive better attention than before?

Why has nothing been done to solve the notorious traffic gridlock on Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, such as constructing a railway line until now?

How is Nigeria surviving despite about 60% drop in oil revenue, when it is supposed to have shut down completely?

Who will believe that we will have locally grown rice flood markets across Nigeria?

The zoo is borrowing money to build roads, the bad thing is that contractors are Whitemen. How do you pay back, when there are no industries. No good education to produce quality human beings to develop and work in the industries.

Are you expecting bokoharam members to be refinery operator?

This infrastructure is paining you guys this much, I don't believe it. You will now travel abroad and be snapping pictures on similar infrastructure to diss Nigeria.

Now there's one reason less to diss Nigeria, and some people are so angry. You now have to search harder to find things we don't have at home. Buhari is a bad man to make you have to search farther.

So industries will rush to establish where there's no infrastructure? What sort of sick comedy is this?

Invest in education and SME in key to drive a progressive Economy. The forex will get from export from SME will be used to build the infrastructure.

We need to be producing not Consuming nation. Private sector is what drives the Economy. We cannot focus on building infrastructure while we remain a Consuming nation with high poverty rate.

How do you become a producing nation without infrastructure to power your machines and transport your goods.

You people are just punching at the wind. All these nonsense will not stop investment in critical infrastructure. Yet even your useless leaders never invested in the education and SME when they held power and earned humongous sums

Infrastructure isn't what drives the economy. What drives the economy is a sound socio-technological organisation. Roads, Railways, Electric Power etc just like money are simply tools in the hands of good planners and implementors for economic growth.

Poor leadership with no destination will borrow money and spend the monies with nothing to show for it

So we have so many dumb educated people. Now I truly agree we need to invest more into education. What else is the proof beyond the drivel quoted here?

As much as I agreed with your points, I have a little reservation somewhere along the line.

Do you know it is possible to have those infrastructures listed above and our condition as a people remain the same

Smart people running the affairs of a country would rather borrow money to make their economy stable and strong. Engage people from within and without to come and establish reasonable businesses in the country and also enact good political/socio-economic policies for ease of business.

From the revenue generated through tax and other sources, loans will be paid in tranches, other needed infrastructures will come live and people will have focus for their lives, crime rates will be reduced and insecurity will be kept bay.

Country grows with a deliberate effort and good long term planning. This present administration run foul of every growth indicies.

Another nonsense, borrow money to make the economy stable and strong, how? By putting the money on display at a museum?

So industries would locate in a place without roads and power? Doubt you know what infrastructure means.

Are you sure we're not under a zombie attack?

Nonsense Those people who you fail to educate or create jobs for will bomb all the infrastructure
Are they not already stripping the metals from the rail to sell?
Nothing wrong with infrastructure but if a man is starving to the point where his weight is 50% of normal you do not fix that by giving him a turkey to eat in one day.
The level of borrowing now is such that over 70% of revenue is used to service debt .That is not sensible

The answer to that is to increase revenue collection since we still have a huge scope of uncollected revenue with our collection ratio at 6% while Ghana is doing 16% hence with tiny GDP, have up to half of our budget to invest.

We should not be in the category of arguing over $10-15bn projects but $50-100bn, but you are still arguing over tiny amount while Egypt and South Africa our immediate African competition are doing $30-50bn projects

The way out must not be and can never be to stop investing. Better to tie up a good chunk of our future earnings to useful infrastructure than keep it intact for some future crook to come and steal it.

The way you people are going it's like you prefer a crook running the country. After all integrity doesn't pay bills not so?

Infrastructure is what developed Lagos and south west like this. When you have these basic things, life will be faster. That will result in economic progress.

They know what they want, and it's a backward country where they are at the top of the food chain. That's why they flip flop

Who are
you people

To listen to you one would think you love Nigeria more than anyone or that infrastructure is a new religion

The point is a simple one spending must be balanced and "infrastructure" must have a point the fact that you spend $10 billion on concrete and steel does not mean it is the right infrastructure . Not all projects are sensible

If it was that easy to raise revenue why has it not happened

Did anyone suggest stopping investing?

There is a different between waste and investment
a lot of money was wasted in Abuja by IBB if that was an investment where are the returns

The big elephant in the room is WHERE IS THE POWER??
That is the number one priority not rail to Niger republic
Or an Army University in Borno
Is there any government that has said " we don't believe in infrastructure" ? So why now make it a religion

The truth is the impact is not felt and the contracts appear bogus and inflated

What one infrastructure project of this government has made the most impact in our lives

Previous governments built Ikeja Airport, Kainji Dam , Egbin Thermal Plant and the 1st Niger bridge , Lagos Ibadan Expressway

What one project can this government boast of?

Just one?
