I have being happily married for more than 14 years and from my experience, each of the partners should have these characters; patience, prayers, forgivenes, ability to overlook trivial issues. Compassion, empathy, kindness, loyalty, understanding, respect, making the other feel important.

All these may not be present in the early phase of a marriage. However, if you can just hold on to PATIENCE and a few of the above, then you will succeed by God's grace.

It is not by chance but intentional efforts being continually made.

Happy home is by hard work.

I was taught something about building a home.

My mum said a home is like a box, a big empty box, that both of you are the ones to work hard and put in what you want inside the box to make it full and colourful.

That if you don't put anything in it, you won't get anything out of it.

Other people that have happy home didn't just get it by luck, even character is not enough if the other party is not willing to make it a happy home.

It takes two people willing to put in the work to make the house a happy home.
