pls do you guys know if I can book appointment with the German Embassy around January? Cos I have not transfered the money to the german account yet but I plan to do that before my appointment date. So can I go ahead and book appointment or wait till i transfer it cos right now only January appointments are available.

NO. You can only book an appointment when you av a proof of finacial means, (7908 Euro in a blocked German account or official declearation of sponsorship) a copy of data pag of your international passport, and your addmission letter. And don't forget you are to send it through courier. All the best

Its quit easy. It cost 50Euro or so. The person must be a permanent residence. Am not sure but I think the account will be verify even before awarding the declearation at the local office... Word of advise: its always better u open the blocked account, it gives u an advantage in gettin d visa n makes life a lot easier when you get to germany. Guys you won't find money on d street and its not easy for foreigners to get job considering the language barier and trust me YOU ARE ON UR OWN...

Since ur brother is in niaja ask him if he gat a credit card nt issued in naija then you will pay with it. If u want to pay with a bank transfer omo it is much expensive ooo as in the bank charges for. Bank transfer..

Yes start learning the language in Nigeria if you can. It will help you pick up faster when you get to Germany and it will also prove your seriousness. My BF is German but I don't live in Germany, I only visit. I don't know much about their Embassy in Nigeria cos I've never been there.

I hope you are aware that you have to open an account with a German bank and deposit 8000 euros before you will be given visa. This money is for your initial upkeep.

When you are choosing a school, stick to the west/south.

That is it ma'am and even if you see most of the schools for undergraduate is german and also health sciences always has a clause that is they admit a limited number of students and very competitive. U need to have a knowledge of their language somehow

its 7908 euros.. The 8k euros is just to round it up...just a difference of 92 euros...
