Demand

It is interesting and vital to note here that the PDP which many of us (igbos) still proudly support and adore was in power for 16 solid years and in those years there were 4 Presidential Inaugurations and on none of those was an Igbo man found worthy by the PDP of even Vice Presidency and we are still bold to say it is the APC that has barely finished one tenure that doesn't want to give power to Igbos. Odi nma.

NOW; Seriously, let's be sincere. As things stand today politically, why would the APC even hand power to us Igbos in 2023?
on what grounds?
on what records?
on what politics?
Is power given to anyone?
Is it an appeasement or a gift?

The APC is a political party.
The main focus of a political Party is to hold power and keep it to enable it deliver on its agenda.
So if the APC reads that the SE does not want the Presidency or does not have the capacity to help them win and keep power, they will stick with the regions that can and work with individuals who are interested.

Ka Chineke mezie okwu.

Vaughanlanrewaj:

It is so apparent that PDP will not gamble and place any southerner against an Asiwaju Tinubu in 2023 so they are banking on taking the huge northern votes to cancel APC in the south.
This is a very good time for Ohaneze to start planning for 2031 including building a formidable platform then presenting a candidate with great clout who can win election across regions.
Hmmmmmmm, this is deep!

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will ensure the above is done. It is on record that he was the first civilian governor to appoint Igbos as commissioners in Lagos state. He will integrate the south east into the mainstream of national politics and make a deal with Nnamdi Kanu to renounce Biafra and join the Federal executive council as minister of national unity and integration.
Tinubu will only be President of Lagos State

In 1999, Nigeria ceded the presidency of Nigeria to the Yoruba.
Rotation was in the details
Today, even Yoruba is like they want to preside over Nigeria for the third time while the Igbo is yet to do one.

The North has been there for ten years now. That is if you add Yaraduas 2 years to Buhari 6 locust years. By the time Buhari is through, the North would have been there for 12 years! The North has had the vice presidency for 16 years under Nomadi Sambo and Atiku Abubakar. The South West has had the presidency for 8 solid years with Obasanjo and now chasing another 8 solid years with the vice presidency. We are not talking of over 4 decades of military dictatorship by these wayward clans! It's the turn of the east! Simple as that. If you guys can't stand an igboman as your president, fine, Then let my people go... But If any of you insists that the Igbo must be part of Nigeria and yet should Not be allowed to head the country, then you are pulling the tiger by the tail. It will bite.. this very very very madly..

It's simple!

Come out and contest

No one is handing out the presidency on a platter of gold, so making these demands is frankly childish.

South East deserves the presidency to douse tension....

They don't deserve anything.

So far all they're doing is reducing their own region to a wasteland.

Oga ,there is not need to preach ..Yes the presidential ticket should go to the east but these crop of leaders (especially the present Governors ) are complete nuisance and a turn in the flesh to Thier own people . Who want to give these jokes the presidential ticket, when they cannot secure Thier various state? And are too having to use the lives of Thier own citizens as pawn In Thier game of Chest . Non of them in that picture deserve to be president . They are recently the new bride of the Fulanis . If they really want power to come to the East, then they must look for a credible and strong Igbo candidate, that has a good tract record .They should all endorse and campaign for him .Then we will know they are ready .But if they are talking about Thier own ambition, then they are jokers .

How can they control their own states when buhari cannot control his own region and state, let a lone taming insecurity in Nigeria? Have you forgotten Buhari's home state is Katsina and his region is north ? Insecurity is a general problem in Nigeria and not peculiar to a particular region. We would allow south east to have their turn. Let presidency be zoned to south east and see all these pockets of violence stop.

Are you demanding Igbos to be President by almajiri and Fulani votes or by Afonjas votes? coz if it's by that you must be living in lalaland. but if you are demanding an Igbo should be hand picked and placed then it might be a bit possible. but we all know it's not possible coz we all gonna cast our votes.
