Loveknitting:all they did was remove the sim from the phone and insert into another phone. Had it been the sim had pin, they wouldn't have been able to access the sim. 1 Like |

The best thing as security measure right now is turn off ussd mobile banking. But banks won't tell you because the are making money from it. Do this and know peace. 1 Like |

This is why I never do online banking of any sort in this country. Nigerians always find ways to bastardize services. See what online shopping has become for a good example. |

taylor89:baba calm down....there is no way USSD would tell you to reset ur password without demanding for old password. if you can't give then your old password then you have no choice than to visit the bank or call them via their phone line which will prompt some security questions....... There is something you aren't telling us here....if thou you deal with online transaction then that's different but for someone to steal ur phone nd make transfer from it, then the person must be someone who knows you so much nd have ur password with him....might be ur GF, sis, bro or friends who you loose guarded with. |

EmptyGarden:That people believe that rubbish, made up story is baffling. If it's that easy for people to have their monies stolen by merely losing their phones, then at least a quarter of account holders would have had their accounts emptied. 1 Like |

taylor89: Use a SIM card lock next time. It is an added layer of security for your phone. Even when someone steals your phone and tries to be smart by putting the SIM in another phone, he/she will still need to type in a password before the SIM becomes operational. If you type in the wrong password on three occasions, the SIM is automatically blocked. With this layer of protection, you protected from someone stealing your SIM and changing your password. |
