He died of a heart attack before the tiger could touch him. The tiger didn't eat him though, just dragged his body around a bit. The zoo officials did not do well at all, didn't they have tranquilizer shots to subdue the tiger?

That means he was literally scared to death....it would be really painful if the tiger actually never planned to eat him...RIP
