The first and true confession comes from the heart, it is seasoned with genuine repentance and change of character.
Rather than coming to social media to make more mess of one's self, it is better you go to the individuals you have offended and confess to them and seek forgiveness.

All you need to do is go back to that person and pay back as a gift without making it public, you don't have to say a word about what happened in the past, you are paying what you stole secretly back in secret.

In the case where the person is dead then go on your knees and tell God what you intend to do but death has caused a breakup between you and the person. This is necessary because the person is dead and no more in need of worldly possessions. It's simply because they were caught. They've been doing it since and they didn't confess. They only confessed when they were caught.

They are both weak men for apologising to their wives and the public for a crime they never commited.
