I'm living next to an apostolic church and I must confess, it has been terrible. They organize program almost everyday and makes noise with expired speakers. Worst of all, they don't even speak english. I don't know if the members don't go to work because they organize program any time they like. There was a time my neighbour switched off their generator in the middle of service due to the noise and constant vigils, combining local and foreign instruments, making prophecies I can't even tell if it's real or fake. You must shout for the next person to hear you even inside your house. No way to sleep when they have night vigil. I'm planning to sue them One of these days. Living close to a church is not a good idea at all
What you will do it wait for their preaching moment and put your own music. Make sure you mp or whatever you are using the play music is loud enough to confuse them. Do it every time they are preaching or having a low key programe. They will be the ones to come and complain to you and then you give them condition.

I think is a great opportunity because all program they will be doing, will help your spiritual growth
Are they the ones to feed my spirit with such noise. How did you even come to the conclusion that the spirit needs such noise to grow.
Such noises are the reason some people have decided they are never going to church. What if I live close to church and I'm having a quiet moment with my God. Any na by making noise them take dey know who get spirit wey dey grow?

Back when I lived in a military barrack, we had two churches facing our house, and a Mosque closely beside. The churches which happened to be Catholic and Anglican, hardly ever made anyone uncomfortable. Omo na the Mosque carry shege look us for eye dah year. The distance was just a few yards away, so you can imagine. In the morning, noise; afternoon, noise; night, noise; during fasting, worse. The makaranta kids didn't make it any easier with the consistent chanting and all. Person hear am sha

Mathew 6:6-8
6 But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. 7 And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. 8 Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.

1 Kings 18:26-29,36-38
[26]So they prepared one of the bulls and placed it on the altar. Then they called on the name of Baal from morning until noontime, shouting, “O Baal, answer us!” But there was no reply of any kind. Then they danced, hobbling around the altar they had made.
[27]About noontime Elijah began mocking them. “You’ll have to shout louder,” he scoffed, “for surely he is a god! Perhaps he is daydreaming, or is relieving himself. Or maybe he is away on a trip, or is asleep and needs to be wakened!”
[28]So they shouted louder, and following their normal custom, they cut themselves with knives and swords until the blood gushed out.
[29]They raved all afternoon until the time of the evening sacrifice, but still there was no sound, no reply, no response.
[36]At the usual time for offering the evening sacrifice, Elijah the prophet walked up to the altar and prayed, “O lord, God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, prove today that you are God in Israel and that I am your servant. Prove that I have done all this at your command.
[37]O lord, answer me! Answer me so these people will know that you, O lord, are God and that you have brought them back to yourself.”
[38]Immediately the fire of the lord flashed down from heaven and burned up the young bull, the wood, the stones, and the dust. It even licked up all the water in the trench!

This makes me remember the house I was born and lived in for 14years.
Just in front of the house, there was a mosque with their PAS facing our apartment with their “aluwala” early morning by 5:00am. The mosque has a church just beside it
Beside our house and apartment was a CAC church with numerous midweek programs, crusade and vigil running on loud sound system. The Church also has another church (Anglican) beside it (at the other side of the church)

These 3 churches and mosque intentionally made sure they competed for the loudest noise maker.
When one complains to the pastors, they see one as being used by the devil, whereas the reverse is the case.

We got there before these churches and mosque began. Thank God we left there.
Make una just sell una house to any of the churches

Leaving closed to a church is even better than leaving closed to a mosque , leaving closed to a mosque is diverstating, it's even more diverstating when you don't go out very early in the morning, which mean before your waking up time you will surely wake up when their prayers will start , they will be your early morning alarm clock till the day you move out of that area...... After NYSC i decided to leave my parents ooo and rented a self con simply because i dey always quarrel with my old man( pikin wey no well from belle). Agent didnt tell me i share a fence with a church ooo. Vigil is twice in a week and the remaining days nah fellowship. Every day FORNICATION FORNICATION and this was torturing me emotionally and physically. Talked to co-tenant and they were tired of complaining to both our landlord and the church pastor.

Someone told me to drag the church to human right but i would rather let them be the one to take me to human right.
After much thought, the devil gave me a master strategy.
I bought a very loud rechargeable speaker (Bose)
Found a good porn site( redtube.com) and was waiting for their night vigil. They first started with praise and worship and then i realized their speaker was louder than mine, i just waited for them to start preaching.

As soon as everywhere was silent probably waiting for the pastor to commence sermon, I connected the Bluetooth speaker to my phone and looked for a loud porn movie.

Am very sure every man in that church and my compound enjoyed a free erection that night.

Everybody was knocking on my door like the house was on fire.

The next morning they reported to landlord association.

I don’t know what goes through their collective heads. Is it that the louder they are, the more the devil will fear them or God will love them more. Insane

Some time last year I went out by 1am to complain to this church that was doing night vigil in an uncompleted flat close to my house.
They had mounted 4 giant speakers outside since 9pm and they were not even upto 15inside. A group of people that can hear each other very well without even raising their voices yet they mounted speakers to disturb the whole neighborhood. No one from my street was even there. I struggled through the night to sleep but the vibration and the noise was just too much. I'm a light sleeper and u came home tired hoping to have a good rest only for me need mad people disturbing the whole neighborhood. I patiently waited with the Hope that when they started preaching the bad and the singing will reduce and I will sleep a little. But now way. They never even stopped to preach. I stood up, dressed and opened my gate went there and asked to see their pastor. One dry man came out and I complained to him. He apologized and went in. As I was going into my house I heard him telling his members that someone came to complain. They didn't still reduce the noice so I decided within me that i will deal with them next time. But luckily for me, they didn't come again.

But you never complained to the Alfa. Typical of you "Christians". And Seun wouldn't even give you the privilege to complain on Nairaland because you have to swear an oath and prove your allegiance to Allah to create a thread. Don't you think there's a problem somewhere? Those on suit and tie always seem more approachable (easy targets) than those on jalamia and 14-inch long beards, isn't?

My father's house is built close to one MFM HQ for my state here. There was a year like that, during crossover, this church just mount 4 PAS for electric pole, and one of the PAS was directly facing our house. You know that kind wahala sha. Any PUSH sound from that PAS, na vibration for the whole structure. None of us slept that day. BTW we're not the only one living in that area, so, the wahala peculiar to everyone. The following morning when dem start their program again, everyone for street just carry stone throw for the PAS, and that was how they turn of the PAS.

The story still remain ooo but I'm stopping here

They think God is deaf like Baal. The prophets of Baal shouted, screamed and even cut themselves but Baal didn't listen nor helped them, but Elijah only whispered a few words and God answered him.
They won't see that part of the bible.
They won't even see where the sinner and the pharasee went into the temple to pray, while the sinner was sobber and even ashamed to say his prayers out loud, the pharasee was praying loud to let the sinner know that he was a righteous man and wanted everyone to know that.
But then God knew who made a genuine prayer between the two of them.
Also, they won't see that part of the bible. Even through out the life of Jesus there was nowhere that he used loud noise. Even the feeding of the 5000 he didn't use the public address system and we even went out od the city before he stated his sermon.
These people won't see that part.
They will be 10 in a small room and still need a public address system to speak to themselves..and they will.not just keep the speakers inside their church but outside to face people around going about their own businesses.
That's why I can never attend any of such churches that have no respect for other people.

Not living close to a church though but something happened sometime last month.
Was rushing to meet the deadline for a project and haven't slept well in days. I finished around 2am that night and tried to sleep to wake up at 6.
It was 4:30 am when one idiot decided to play loud church music on his public address system before doing his morning preaching. I wan mad. Just small thing prevented me from opening my gate that night and confronting the guy....but

I tried to sleep again but couldn't. So I picked up my phone, searched for Bluetooth devices and saw a new device. I connected and heard a ding sound.
The new device was the public address system and looks like it supports multipoint connection.
Don't even imagine what I did that night. I started by playing candy crush on my phone and all you could hear via the loud speaker was "sweet, divine, sugar crush" in th silence of the night.
The guy was probably confused. He had to poweroff the device and ended the morning cry. I bet he got the memo.
Disturbing people at 4:30 am. Wickedness

That's their mentality. That once you complain it means their fire is affecting you. They are lucky i didn't go there with my dog. That was my next plan. And then playing music on a Sunday or during their midweek service.
