Ironsi did not create the existing suffocating type of
unitary government system. You know those who did after Ironsi used his Decree to get a few more powers from the regions then to avert problems created by Operation Wetie in the SW region.

The 1966 military coup was a coup of Nigeria army by soldiers from the major and even some minority tribes of Nigeria.
