Waneri:

It all started immediately the europeans created Nigeria..
The Ibo political class who are mostly from the present day Anambra and Enugu decided to make the old eastern region a one ethnic region.
The western region tried the same.. but it failed too resulting to the creation of Midwest region..

In the eastern region .. when they asked the groups who the were the refused to identify as Igbo.. they rather identify as Ndoki (Ukwa), Izon(Ijo), Etche, Ngwa, Ibibio, iwhnuruoha, Efik etc.
But this did not go down well with the Igbo leaders, who actually new if the don't stop them, the east will disintegrate.

There was a new agenda to send some of their kinsmen to igbonize this groups..
The made it possible for them to get jobs at the detriment of the indigenes.
The aim was for the indigenes to become poor as sees the igbos as a group the should imitate.
It worked for a while. But suddenly attracted envy when some of this minority became educated and civilized and attempted to change the status quo which also failed.

This caused the domination of Aba, and Port Harcourt (which was the only Important province and sub province then) by foreigners.
The foreigners also changed some names that did not suit well with them.
Aba being an important city was changed from Abah Ngwa to Abah alone, Ugwulagbo was changed to Ugwunagbo etc
Same thing was done to the Ikwere people.

The civil war served as an avenue for the indigenes that rejected the igbo identity to distanced them selves from igbo.
The Ikwere people decided to return their town names to the original names.
But they unfortunately went as far as creating new names that were neither Ikwere nor igbo in their bid to distanced them selves from igbo.

Igbos should understand that igboid language does not belong to them only..
The Ikwere should also understand that they have been speaking igboid language before the igbos came. Even though they igbos tried to force their own dialect of Igbo on them.

I believe that we are all from the same origin and we are all related.
But we don't share a general name.
Just like Ibibio, Efik, Annang etc the are the same people but they don't have a general name .. same with all igboid groups..

Na mumu you be. Ezigbote onye nzuzu.
You want to form familiarity with Ikwerre people. You’re nothing but an Isoma to them. Ikwerres don’t even recognise Ikwerre communities in Imo state as kin and you, a ngwa man is trying to go on an identity crises mode so that Ikwerre people can like you. You are nothing but a clown

The Igbos hate Ikwerres with every drop of their blood. Ikwerres never benefitted if at all from any abandoned property. The issue of abandoned property was not only in Rivers State but the whole of old Easter Nigeria except in the core Igbo States. It was so in Cross River as well.
What you call your language is another one's language yet you will be online to claim someone answers Igbo name.
Wike says he is not Igbo. This does not mean he hates Igbos. 99.99% of Ikwerre people agrees with him. It does not in anyway depicts hatred, Wike former personal secretary was an Igbo person from Abia State.

If Igbos hate you people, you people wouldn’t even survive it. If Igbos see you people how Ikwerre people see them, you will know what hatred means.

China was enslaved by the British for more than 100 years but today the British cannot threaten them.

Americans ran away from Afghanistan after 20years

There was once Oyo empire, Kanem Bornu empire, Songhai empire, Roman empire, Byzantine empire etc but they are no more today. Some day, this contraption will not exist just like others before it.

Keep your begging, cos we'll take no prisoners. All the traitors and thieves will kiss the dust.

99.99% of Ikwerre People agree? and you counted them all and they told you to come on nairaland and speak for them? Oya clap for yourself!

For the record, You the "Ikwerre is not are not igbos group" are the fewest amongst Ikwerre people, Una no pass 20%, But you are the loudest, the most disrespectful and the most Violent. When people from your group meet Ikwerre people who are comfortable with being igbo, you bully and insult them for their stand. More than 50% of Ikwerre people are not really bothered by whether you call them igbo people or Not! They simply do not care to dive into this political identity madness, they will simply say that they are Ikwerre but then add that Igbo and Ikwerre and igbo are the same people if you want to start making it an issue. And lets not for forget that there is also the aggressively Pro Igbo group amongst Ikwerres might be about 10 percent. The problem is non of these other Ikwerre groups are as aggressively outspoken about their stand on the issue as Mr. Chrisxxx and his group.

So point is Mr. , for a multi opinioned topic like the issue of Ikwerre or Ibo, learn to speak for yourself.

It your use of the word IGBO when you should have used OTHER IGBOID.

In other words, we are in concordance except that your problem is Igbo as a container of identity. It may serve you to dig deeper into the genealogy of Igbos. I suspect you may still adjust your general understanding of this subject matter.

Good to exchange with you and have a nice day.

] Wike will be a walkover for APC. The north will not vote for him over any APC candidate. The north sees him as too toxic to be trusted with power. The SW will not vote for him. Remember that he denied SW PDP chairmanship by imposing Secondus on the party. None of the SS Governors is supporting him but he will manage to win the SS if he gets PDP ticket. He will also face strong opposition In the SE from IPOB. Hence if PDP gives him the ticket, APC will celebrate their victory before the election.

Of course, the same way China dug two graves and collected Honk Kong back from England.

Same way Malians dug two graves and chased away France away from their country.

Israel are still taking their revenge on their enemies and they dug a good grave.

Fulani herdsmen are giving it to Benue people for disrupting their advance to the south and they dug two graves.

Just get ready cos all we need is patience and time and we'll dig enough graves for traitors and thieves.

Who cares wether you have anything against Ikwere or not?
At least we know what is unique about Igbos is that you find them in prisons around the world for drug peddling. China, Malaysia, India. Thailand etc, and you are talking about values? lwkmd! The whole world know those that have criminality deeply etched in the gene. The Igbos! No real Ikwere will take up so called Igbo identity to curry favour because that smelly identity is a liability.
Keep drooling with stupidity thinking you are making sense. Imbecil,e

Your response above is the mentality of an average Ikwere person. Always reacting abusively or vicerally in an intellectual contest.
I refuse to stoop to your level. I will only react to the issues you reaised and leave your unsavoury comments to hunt you.

Crime is universal and is not in any way peculiar to the Igbo as the last I checked the Igbo do not grow opium. While am not holding brief for drug dealers, the drug trade is not in anyway the exclusive preserve of the Igbo or can you in all honesty swear that there's no Ikwere person dealing on drugs?

You claim the Igbo identity your tribe usurpe is a liability, yet you would still probably marry an Igbo woman and give your unborn child an Igbo name. Isn't this absorb? Till date, it's a thing of pride for an Ikwere man to marry an Igbo woman. The Benin Kingdom you claim would never as a result of "healthy pride" adopt an Igbo identity, because they know who they are and are proud of their heritage. Where's the Ikwere pride?

Chibuike Amechi climbs the hill for people to hear him while claiming that he's Igbo and Ezwo Wike says he's not Igbo. Two prominent Ikwere sons. How do you people cope with this extent of confusion in your identity?
Stay off my mention.

Read your drivel that I quoted again and tell me what is intellectual in it. Very idiot.tic and foolish munmun.
The entire world already know Igbos with their cursing, insults and empty threats. Go on Facebook, twitter and even here on Nairaland.
You come here insulting Ikwerre people and making infantile statements and expect to be hailed. Ofcourse your fellow foo.ls will give you many 'likes'. What is Igbo identity if I may ask you? Who defines what is and what is not Igbo identity?

A thing of pride for an Ikwerre man to marry Igbo? Bwahahahaha!. How you guys fabricate stories and spew it out so comfortably is so dumbfounding. funny enough, one of your so called intellectuals will read this your claim now and start parroting it everywhere while claiming some imaginary source. Very pathetic.

Oga you people should face your Igbo problems and let Ikwerre be. You are not Ikwerre and anytime you open your smelly mouth or use your leprous fingers to type nonsense about Ikwerre people you will see me in your mention. Go find food chop.

As far as you are not Ngwa, your opinion don't matter to me.

If you are not comfortable with our governor Okezie Ikpeazu declaration of support for wike, you can kiss the dust.

For your information Ndi Ngwa are in support of OVI.
What is your concern on who Ngwa leaders are supporting.
Majority of Ngwa youth are just waiting for the ideal day to deal with some of you that don't know the meaning of boundary.

What does your screenshot of my comment prove?

Sometimes I wonder the level of education most you guys on NL attained in life. Someone makes a claim that 99.99% of the total population of an ethnic group alludes to something and then you bring a screenshot of the comment of an individual on unrelated events as the proof of claims.

There are obviously a million things wrong with Nigerians.

Satta Matka is a very old gambling game in India and some other countries as well. It is a lottery game played on numbers, where numbers are drawn and people wager on these numbers to earn big money. Satta Matka game is a type of gambling popular in India like others countries in other forms.

Who is Ikwerre? Who is Igbo?

The issue of Ikwerre being Igbo or not is already settled. Some Ikwerres like Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi say they are Igbo, others like Wike say they are not.

Its all down to the Ikwerre you meet
