Yes, there are Igbo speaking communities in Rivers State, even down to some Ijoid groups,however,almost all of them deny having any cultural affiliation with the Igbos. Apparently, they learnt the language during the pre-colonial inter-trade era between the Igbo heartland and the Niger Delta Coastal Areas.
