ednut1: I don’t believe it either, especially since most of the factory work in Canada and the US is automated, making it much easier. Even guys in the automobile plants don’t work very hard anymore plus Canada has so many options for work. 9 Likes |

1stGenAmerican: Honestly I think the poster made that up or the person who told him/her is exaggerating. I still sold a PlayStation console to a SHELL Worker who’s family is in Canada at one apartment beside Eko Hotel few weeks ago and guess what, He told me not to relent in making moves and leaving for greener pastures. He bursted my brain when he said one of the things that made him come home was because he son needed some things for his upcoming birthday so he had to come home and gather one or two things, he can confidently afford a comfortable lifestyle. Also, One thing I’ve learned in life includes studying people. If anyone dissuades you from doing something to better your life and or self, please be wary of them. If everyone didn’t do, then no one will succeed & If it was easy everyone would do it and it will therefore have no meaningful value. Quick one: I have a friend who travelled to the USA few years back. He was my customer before we became friends and I noticed he has this passion for making sure he’d convince customers unless you never wanted to buy in the first place. He first told me when he went to UK and came back he said he regretted coming back as we lived on the Lagos island Proper, I mean Agarawu, Isale Eko, Idumota, Balogun, Oke Arin etc. The day he first came back from UK he said he had about 400£ On him as he did some business there before coming back. The day he came back there was no light and owing to where we lived back then, there is no space in between buildings and generators are poorly placed in such a way that if your neighbors dies of carbon monoxide poisoning e no concern you. He said the noise of the Gen almost made him lose it. The major thing that drive him so so hard was the fact that his dad’s elder bro is a UK citizen who when he calls for help tells him it’s not easy, when he asked that the man pull him overseas, man said it’s not easy. Same man said he wouldn’t wish his worst enemy to go through what they through in the abroad, came home and took his son to come experience it.(see the plot twist) He told me this with tears, and he wasn’t even angry cos he said fair and square the man has given him money on few occasions when he needs assistance and the man owes him nothing, just that he wished his father was alive too. He went back to visit UK again the second time and I was still there looking like a JJC cos I didn’t have much funds like him. Upon his arrival he gathered money and faced USA, he first said he wanted to come back but I was the ine telling him not to even try it cos his children unborn will curse him for making such decision. He’s in the US working and making his money legit with no regrets. I can’t say much on here. To cut my long story short he’s now a USA Citizen. If you want to suffer please choose your suffering wisely. See his two passports below, now he can choose which kind suffer he wan suffer... . 40 Likes 2 Shares

People should quit speaking ill about ‘nominal jobs’ outside of Nigeria like it’s a dirty subject. I don’t do manual labor however I fail to understand how people feel that they’re above honest work. Garbage men in New York averaged $150,000-$175,000 during the pandemic and $75,000-$90,000 in ordinary years and garbage collection is definitely a ‘nominal job’. One definite thing about nominal jobs in the US, Canada, and Europe: you will get paid on time every payday like clockwork or else your employer will face legal trouble. Can the same be said about their jobs back in Nigeria? Is there a guarantee that you’ll be paid on time? 32 Likes 1 Share |

modskiller: The most important thing is doing it the right way, no shortcuts. My advice to you is to study the immigration policies and paths while building yourself up to speed. Turn over every stone and learn about all avenues. Be persistent and you’ll succeed. Nothing is impossible, believe me. 10 Likes |

1stGenAmerican: Honestly I’m this kind of person that if I tell you something, once is more than enough. If I love you so so much I’d tell you twice or more but once you do otherwise and the consequence(s) comes knocking(learned this the hardest ways & I don’t wish go through such circumstances anymore) I swear down i will ignore you and cut you off, it’s a way of life that will give me peace of mind. And once you threaten my peace, you got to go ASAP. He had his ear checked few days back even though he has had ear issues way back but he had to bribe his way at the hospital to even get an appointment. I totally zeroed my mind when @Sanchez01 made a thread about moving to UTAH and said they’ve not taken light for two weeks, I cried. 6 Likes |

pansophist:I don't really know about life in Australia but saying Canada should be last on a list that includes Germany & New Zealand is funny. If you have the right skill sets, you can easily hit the ground running in Canada. @OP, I'd suggest you stay back in Nigeria with your earnings but is life only about money? It's left to you to answer. I live in Canada. Peace! 9 Likes |

Some persons are not passionate about what they want. They easily get discouraged by mere fraction experiences of others. They are like push and start vehicle. They don't trust themselves and don't have any game plan. Don't be like them. Everyone destiny is different in this life. Just trust your guts, have a clear plan and follow your heart. 22 Likes 1 Share |

Good choice, but not because of your job's earning power but because it's not easy to start all over again abroad most especially with four kids. |

Klass99:Is your mobil neighbor working there or just relocated his family? I know many of these big kids guys in Nigeria just relocated their family but they still kept their jobs in Nigeria and are shuttling between both countries. They didn't relocate because they have a good job.But then f8e those who don't have a good job, they might have to take their chances and relocate 5 Likes |

damzy88: Canada has the highest numbers of professionals doing menial jobs, and it's very very expensive and lonely place. In my view, I don't know any western country that is as lonely and boring as Canada. Its just crush your soul. A country that is 10x bigger than Nigeria but has less the population of Kano and Lagos, will be lonely and expensive since its sparsely populated. I'm not saying Canada is bad, but if you compare it with places like Australia or Germany, then it should take the back seat. Oh and its too cold, like freezing cold. Who wants that? I know many people that left Canada back to Europe, but I know only few people that left Europe to Canada. Of course if someone is coming from places like Nigeria, Canada is better, but compare to other Europeans countries, Canada is a joke. You guys are suffering there lol 25 Likes 5 Shares |

You are the first person i have said Dont travel to.The first reason been that you dont want to struggle. Some people including myself are ready to sweep the street, clean plate and do everything morally right and legal to be citizen of a sane country where their is reward for hardwork. Second reason .You dont have any skill aside sales. My brother just stay for naija.Nigeria has been kind to some people and i believe you are one of them but for people like me nigeria has been tough and unkind so moving to a location that is though but has a good reward system for my labour is enough for me 21 Likes |
