Those popular pastors and GOs you see are all Babalawos/Ifa followers because they were born into it; they are just using church to practise their calls. Nothing is wrong in being a Babalawo/Ifa follower, just use it for good. This life is all about the good and the bad; it's left for you to choose one. 1 Like |

First of all, congratulations on accepting your TRUE CALL. Having the boldness to ditch that foreign religion that was forced down our ancestors throat by those white missionaries is a welcome development. I hope that your story help other people find their way back to their true religion and stop deceiving themselves. |

Beosten: You've made the right decision for your life, as long as you've found peace to what your spirit agree to and it's not a crime. Your role should include revolutionizing the Babalawo practice and bringing it up to the modern era that we live in today, because that practice was created by ancient people to meet the need of people in the past. So, if practiced without reforming it, you'll end up at another type of Christianity. In fact, it's just an African Christianity. The ultimate goal should be for you to learn enough to be able to question it, just like you questioned Christianity. You'll enjoy true freedom when you free yourself from all belief system. The gods are not above you, rather you are above the gods. You need to know that. 2 Likes |

I'm not supporting the OP, but you need to understand something. We're not Job, we won't be like job. That being said, of what use is it to be a "brother" a Pastor in an organisation but can't receive financial help when need be? For someone whose child was hospitalised, don't you think that jnterna church politics and bureaucracy should've been put on hold first, so as to raise funds for the sick child? I'm an ardent believer of Christ Jesus, not a religious person. And I can tell you that organised Christian religion in Nigeria isn't what Christianity is. It has become an enterprise, where Pastors are more concerned with church attendance and the resultant financial benefits and not necessarily the salvation of souls or the spiritual growth of their congregants. Yes there are a few matter of fact very few exceptions. But majority aren't practising Christianity but some form of religious entrepreneurship. As for the OP, I comment my reserve, you think Christianity especially being a pastor is the key to financial breakthrough, but it's not. There are principles that governs everything on earth, whoever discovers and engages those principles will reap the rewards. Sowing and reaping is a popular principle, but diligence is a very powerful principle. The Bible says a man that's diligent in his ways (business) will stand before kings not mere men. Diligence brings mastery, and mastery opens doors to nobility. Op It's not too late to go back to God, he's a kind, loving God. I'm not talking about going back to being a Pastor, but to having a genuinely deep connection/relationship with God. Then you'll have deeper knowledge of God, the Bible says those that "do know" their God shall be strong and do exploits. "Do know" connote intentional actions. Another portion says resist the Devil and he'll flee from you. I rest my case musicwriter: Charmingrascal: 4 Likes |

Heavenly race is not an easy one, you have obviously fallen off from the narrow road and chosen the broad way that leads to hell. The devil tempted you and you fell , I was also tempted and I thank God I did not fall, and by the grace of God I am about to enter another phase in the grueling heavenly journey. Some years back a so called prophet.told that I have a marine spirit wife who is married to me forcefully and I should submit myself to her and she would appear physically to me , I rejected the marine spirit wife and she fiercely dealt with me in the most worse way, with poverty and afflictions, no matter what she threw at me I endured it all with prayers and trust in God. Lately I succeeded in binding her and casting her to perpetual bondage in abyss , I am free and delivered , all is well with me now. 6 Likes 1 Share |

ravensckar: If you want to make any submission you make it without insult please, only a madman would think the way he is thinking is the only school of thought, I have said what I said because of my life experiences, perception, which in some areas is similar to his. Though I know what you are trying to say that the church is suppose to cater for his needs, but you should understand something, the ways of God is different from the ways of man, For example; Job in the Bible fell from grace to grass, as he was falling have you asked yourself, he had a circle of friends, why did they not help him, this is because it would have defeated everything that God was planning to do with job so their heart was hardened, Assuming the church had helped him I assure you he would not have left to become a babalawo, but that would not have exposed him that he is not a real Christian, but just someone working in or for a church. 1 Like |

Beosten: You are still a kid, with your parents still feeding you, you really don’t know how the world works and have not experienced life that is why you only know insults and cannot make simple submissions. Instead of countering arguments or submissions you result to insult. |

Righteousness2:I got only one point from his story and that point is valid though...."most of this churches don't practice what is in the scriptures"... Christianity thought us to be our brothers keepers and to help each other. You can imagine how the church failed him and threw him away like he never existed. We don't need to preach Christianity but to practice it...."let your light shineth that men will see and glorify your father in heaven. But most of this churches today are after money and nothing else. He made a mistake though by not putting his faith in God enough to hold on in times of trouble, but I pray one day, he realise his mistake and return back to the lord stronger 2 Likes |

The love of money by some nigerian churches is affecting the faith of many christians. When a brethren is in need, help him. That is the love of Christ. Christianity is all about helping the brethren. Do not keep monies to buy expensive world things, use the money to help the suffering christians. 1 Like |

Well, it pains me when I read stories of people of this kind, it just tells me a single thing, which is lack the true understanding of Christianity. As a Christian, we're being called to be a partaker of the heavenly call, not the Christianity of wealth and prosperity because according to Romans 3vs28, 3vs24 that we as a Christian are justified in Christ alone, not money |

Those Not Predestined Perhaps in heaven, he refused to be used as a vessel on earth. May he was not predestined. It's likely he's demon reincarnate. If we read Romans 8 very deeply, we'll understand this. This book is full of the mysteries of God. Paul did his best to dissect it, but it's not for the slow-minded. |

To a certain degree I can relate with what the OP went through, when my mother was diagnosed with cancer she had so much faith that if she could see pastor Chris or any of the other pastors she would be healed, we reached out to them but nobody gave a damn, she was a worker in the church and a cell leader and all that crap still yet nobody reached out to check up on her, not even a donation for chemo and shit. That action made me realize that finally finally salvation is between you and your God/gods. I'm no more religious but I'm a decent human being and live by my conscience. 8 Likes |
