Going back to the thread... All I saw was majority wishing thier father Father's day posthumously... This speaks volumes.
I know, he who giveth life, taketh it but personally, I deduced that men are so engaged and carried away in being all in all for thier family that they even forget to take care of themselves.. we should learn how to look after ourself too cos problem no dey finish.

Fine and good, a good man needs to be there for his family 100% but he must not fail to look after his own health and other stuffs.

Please my fellow dad's I'm not trying to show off or boast but I wanna pass a message,I went to one of the best schools in the East,my dad used to pick us up from school with his 504 Wagon,but my mates parents do come with d most expensive cars in vogue then,I was ashamed as a kid,one day I told my dad u see how stupid I was,dad can't u change dis car,buy a BMW,he never answered me but when we go home,I was invited to the room and he asked me my friends,after it I received the worst beating as a kid,and from then Dad started picking us up with Mum 1300 Volks beetle,well I was mad ,that was when I was taken out of the school to a govt school and we started taking molue to house,but I never knew I was trained for the hardship infront,funny enuff the day I saw his networth in University I asked him Dad why u never lived a luxurious life,said so that u all can go to school and be better than me,I hugged him wanted to break him not knowing my pop no more young

Paying school fees of 9 children with 8 in various universities at a time. Thinking back, I totally understand why he always sound pissed off whenever we call even when it's not not to bill him

Chai! It's not easy to be a responsible father at all.

While growing up, dad was a commercial driver (driving one old dying bus like that). There was a night his bus broke down while it was raining and he had no one to help him push it off the road. Some soldiers flogged him that night because his bus was causing obstruction. He came home like nothing happened. Made sure I was asleep before showing mum his back. I didn't hear about it until months after the incident. Yet I always had the best clothes, best shoes, attended one of the best private school in our area, paid for all excursions, always marked my birthday. He had just one polo shirt, he'd wait for it to get dried and wear it again. Yes, it was that bad but I always had Ribena and goody goody. He is my hero.

When I gained admission,there was no money to pay school fees,popsi sold his Nissan Pathfinder to pay my school fees
