where do you work?

I work as as a database Administrator at bleep bleep organization. My job role is to develop and track relevant data on students to facilitate the development of an IT database for the University. I capture, verify, input, process using appropriate software, save, retrieve and disseminate organization data to students, staff and Management for decision making. I also use database management software to manage and process the data sets required to prepare thousands of copies of formal introductory letters that students use to secure placements accross the 36 states of the federation. I am also saddled with the responsibility of registering over one thousand students going on IT every year.

How do you plan to fund this program?

I got $5000 merit scholarship, 75% of the deficit will be covered with my personal savings of over 6 years of working and the sales of landed property owned by my husband and I. My elder sister will be taking care of the remaining 25% and more. She is a business woman who owns 2 supermarket, 3 shopping complexes with 43 stores each and two residential building both in port harcourt and Benin City. Collectively, she has 31 staffs working for her with an annual turn income of over 60 million naira. I will also be receiving 50% of my salary as long as I maintained the terms of my study leave.

What will this course do for you?

By policy, my organization grants study leave to a staff whose appointment has been confirmed. I will come back to my present place of work to take up the role of a chief information management specialist. I will use the knowledge and skills that I have acquired to guide my organization on how to effectively digitalized university administration in a post covid era. I will be organizing a monthly seminar training on the use of information systems. As part of my long term goal, I will set a training institute where University administrators can come together to learn how to seamlessly use information system to haul administrative process.

Why information system?

The outbreak of the corona virus pandemic served as a wake up call for University administrators in Nigeria. A masters degree in information systems at ETSU will equip me with the technical knowledge to assist in developing and managing a robust information management strategies, policy, procedure and process that will enhance the overall productivity of University administrators. My goal is to become an information management specialist in my home country, obtaining a master's degree in Information system, will give me the in-depth knowledge that will help me boost my career and also train university administrators.

Why ETSU and not others?

Information Management is a specialization that matches my undergraduate degree, and this happens to be the only school among my admits that offers this specialization. Also, ETSU students spend less time I'm class doing taking notes but spend more time in labs doing practical, this is basically what I need to be effective and professional in my field of study. In addition, the curriculum structure also attracted me to the school. I am required to complete a 33 credit hours which is further divided in to 4 different parts.

Are you married?

I am married and blessed with a beautiful daughter

Why is your family not going with you?
There is an ongoing project that need the time of my spouse he may be visiting with my daughter when the project is completed

Everything looks good, take this white paper it will guide you
Thank you

Hello great people,
Please does anyone here have a godly plug for TOEFL registration?
Also, prices from the ones I've met on other platforms are really high, almost double of the initial fee. How veracious is this claim please?
Third, is anyone planning to take the test in August? We could rub each other's back.
Thanks

Thanks for the response

My mom doesn't have a Dom account. Rather, she has it in cash.

My Dom actually has no traffic at all. I opened it almost a year ago and stashed some cash in there for rainy days. I have not made any transactions with the account since then. If I now put in some money from my mom into the account, will it be a red flag?

Do the embassy accept signed electronic statement of account?

Thank you

Re: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 17 by Anfieldboss: 3:39am On Jul 12, 2022
Guys, I am in a dilemma.

I registered for GRE with an agent I met here on Nairaland and paid 68k for the exam. The guy did the registration for me, but after sometime, I noticed an outstanding of $250.38 on my GRE test profile due to chargeback. I informed him, he said he would rectify it. I think he did, because the outstanding payment was cleared.

After sometime, an outstanding payment of $280.38 appeared on my GRE test profile again, still as a result of chargeback. This time I became worried that the guy might be making the payments through fraudulent means, as the payments keep being reversed with a higher charge. When I notified him, he said he would fix it and that I should not worry and keep studying for my test. He eventually fixed it (or so I thought) and the outstanding payment was cleared.

Today, I decided to check my GRE test profile, and I noticed an outstanding balance of $310.38 has resurfaced on my GRE account, still as a result of chargeback. I have asked for a refund from the guy (I hope he gives me), but I am considering registering for the GRE with a new account I have already created.

My question is will there be any consequence(s) if I register for the GRE test with another new account. I don't want a situation where this outstanding fee will be transferred to my new account, because as it is now, the outstanding balance on this account where the agent helped me to make payments is already far higher than the original GRE registration fee.

Please experienced guys in the house, advise a brother.

I strongly advise you to register for the TOEFL through the official means or you receive chargebacks like what is happening to the GRE people. Remember, it is the same ETS. For now, steer clear of any subsidized payment agents/agencies. To be forewarned is to be forearmed!

Good afternoon all. Please, how can I get a cheap health insurance plan in the US?

1. Contact your school's International student's office and ask if you can bring your own insurance. If they tell you yes, they will give you some terms and conditions the insurance has to meet.

2. Enter google and search rigorously. If you are anywhere in Southern US, check out PSI.

I know a school that GRE is optional for electrical and computer engineering if you're interested.
Anfieldboss:

From your moniker, You just might be my namesake.

I'm working towards PhD Fall 2023 also.

My discipline is Electrical Engineering. At the moment I am preparing for my GRE and it has really been demanding. Combining work, family and trying to study has not been easy, but God has been helping me.

I will be taking my GRE August, If you're taking the test we can connect.
