Please watch how you speak to people . He asked a question and I simply answered . no where was it mentioned that I needed to drop my transcript . If you needed my transcript there are polite ways of asking . Good day
Zihno:

You shouldn’t have dropped this if you weren’t going to follow up with your visa transcript especially after several people asked you.

Hi everyone,

Please I need advice concerning my family's F2 visa.

I traveled to US exactly one year now on F1 visa for my PhD studies. I went to the interview alone because my family's passport wasn't ready by then. They (husband and two kids, 6yrs & 4yrs) have tried on two attempts to get their F2 visa which was denied. On the first instance, the VO asked of our plan for a nanny since my husband said he will be spending one month in US (my husband was advised to say so). We didn't have plan for a nanny by then and they were denied.

On the second occasion after two months, we made inquiries on babysitting and presented it to the VO. My school also has resources for parenting graduate students which my husband presented to the VO but still they got denial.

I don't really know what else to do. I'm planning on going with them next time but I'm not sure if I will be allowed in the interview hall since my visa has not expired.

What should be our next of action

Please your candid advice will be highly appreciated.

For those who have sponsors that aren’t their parents, it’s best you have them pay the money to your(Dorm account) which you can turn in when submitting Statement of account. Those VIOs prefer either parents or applicants as sponsors than relatives

Hello gurus in the house
Pls advise 🙏🏾

A friend of mine just opened my eyes to how big of a flag my situation is.
My interview date is July 13th and school resumption is August 19th. I got an MPower loan of 64k(ikr!😄) and a sponsor(my workplace) 8k. No personal funds. My course is only for a year.

I knew the loan thingy is a flag but was hoping to defend it by giving good answers. E.g when asked "tell me about your funding" I'll be like "the company I've been working at as a Lead System Architect for over 6 years, where I also hold signatory to the company's account, will be sponsoring my part of my cost of attendance and for the remnant, I was able to secure a loan to cover it and since I'll be returning after a year, I'll be able to use my degree to secure more software development solutions in the country "
Is that good enough? Can you propose a better response?

If I'm to include personal funds to my application, it'd be to get proof of personal funds and send to my school to readjust my I-20, fill a new DS-160 adding the personal funds, pay a new MRV fee and start a new date search/apply for EA right??

Is it worth it? Or do I proceed with the current situation?

Pls advise🙏🏾

The reason your husband was denied is that F2 is not for short stay, that is B1/B2 ..let your husband apply for visitors visa to visit you. If his intentions and the kids is to stay and support you till the duration of your F1 status..then he should tell the VO...it is his right that's why F2 is created. The issue of nany wouldn't have arose at all.

Has anyone here attended interview in Benin Republic, Togo or Any other West African country due to this date scarcity in Nigeria, especially Abuja. My portal can’t see any date for in Lagos, only Abuja.

Your 4 years old will go to preschool while your 6-year-old will go to elementary 1.
You do not need a nanny, for them because you work 20hrs a week so you must have closed from work by the time they are done with school.
eg you resume work at 8 am and close at 1 pm that is 4hrs, Monday to Friday gives yous 20hrs

Elily:

But u were denied because your wife gave birth in US.. and you didnt show proof that all expenses had been paid… or that you didnt let immigration officer know that your wife was coming to have a baby on B1/B2 visa.

So how come you got rejected again in less than 2 months?
