Please, for those who recently got married or prolly have inside knowledge of what the cost of a proper wedding ceremony should be, do let me know...
Just white wedding and reception.
budget was NGN6.6m as at a fortnight ago.
But just last weekend I went grocery-shopping, I noticed the cost of everything has tripled(again).

Inviting say 250 guests but expecting close to 400(if you know you know).

please help a brother out...

A wedding its not an investment my friend, its a party.
If I want to invest my money, I know what to do.

If wedding pass N500k, na get together or better still me, my wife and pastor go dey present for the church on the D-day. After all I don settle everybody for traditional marriage.

My plan for my marriage should be 50:50
50 people from my side, 50 people from the girls side.
My wedding will be strictly on invitation, cards will be given out.
If you arrived without the card as a prove that you’re invited you will be sent back ( be you anybody)
Each person per card, if you forgot yours when coming you won’t be allowed inside.
I attended many weddings and I see how people lavish and waste food cus it’s free.
Even if the girls dad forgot his card at home, he won’t be allowed in.
The lesser the crowd, the lesser the expenses.

Joke aside, atleast you should have a simple budget so that after everything you don't fall into debt. And then Commitment is the key, if after everything your partner is not committed to you then all your spending is a waste.

standard hall with A.C. considering the recent price of diesel, price to rent a hall must have tripped by now.
Hd video coverage
photography
interior decor
cakes. you could opt for a cake of 4m lol
Dj. not those roadside dj with broken speakers.
mc
food/drinks
miscellaneous.
you should do your estimate around this to determine the amount you’re willing to put down.
