My bad, so this guy fired upon police.

This riot is shocking, I would say 98% of these thugs have never heard of the dead man, they're all jumping on the bandwagon. A great opportunity to pillage shops, destroy property and loot. The shame of it, and for what? Some fraggle - not a pillar of the community - being shot dead by police.

They say now that he didn't fire the gun he had, and that the bullets found at the scene, were police-issued It so turns out this guy did fire upon police. Er, excuse me, the man had a gun. What was supposed to happen, the police should wait to be shot first? Even a child knows that if you're waving a toy gun around, or table leg wrapped in something, you're likely to be shot, and questions asked later.

And it's not just Tottenham - Enfield, Hackney, Islington, Walthamstow, Brixton, Deptford, Peckham, Lewisham - all getting in on the action. And black faces of grown women (not just teenagers) with greed in their eyes, rampaging through stores with electronic goods. *shakes head in disgust*

A senseless riot, if it can be called that. More like mass-looting.

No doubt Ebay and a host of other online auction sites will be flooded with a plethora of electronic goods and gadgets - iPods, Blackberrys, Laptops, flat-screen TV, digital cameras, SatNav etc, courtesy of the booty from pillaged shops.

Sickening.

The circumstances of the shooting are still unclear. This is what the police are saying, as they are still investigating, so people should be aware that they may be jumping to conclusions about what actually happened, unless they were eye witnesses.

This is an eyewitness account of the alleged beating of a 16 year old girl, which actually escalated the violence.

kandiikane:

He fired that is why they shot him. .The bullet he shot got lodged in the officer's radio(lucky).

Anyways, one scum "gangster" down. . Why would you go around carrying a gun? mscheew!

These apes used the guy's death as an excuse nothing more. For them, it's one less hoodlum gang banger for them to worry about in their postal or areas wars(whatever they call their little wars going on) .I mean what has the death in Tottenham got to do with Liverpool or Birmingham? Where are the tears gases and water cannons?. .These youths have got it too easy. .
That is so not true though it was alleged he did draw his weapon which must have moved the police to act.This is the preliminary from the IPCC;

The finding comes as the Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) prepares to release further information about his death.
It is understood that investigators have been told that Duggan did not open fire on police before he was shot dead, but that he had drawn a weapon.
Duggan was killed on Thursday night during a police operation in north London. Today a post mortem found he died of a single gunshot wound to the chest.
He was shot dead by a Scotland Yard firearms officer. Initially it was said that he died following an exchange of fire with officers.
This theory was given credence by the fact that a non-police handgun was discovered at the scene and because a bullet was found lodged in a police officer’s radio.

However, IPCC investigators have spoken to the officers involved in the operation and have received forensic test results on the bullet which hit the police officer.
They have established that the bullet was a police-issue round which went through Duggan’s arm and lodged in another officer’s radio.
Duggan’s firearm, a blank-firing weapon which has been converted, was not fired at the police. However it is believed that he did draw the gun.

The IPCC is still awaiting tests results to discover definitively whether or not the weapon was fired.
Firearms officers are authorised to open fire on suspects if they believe there is an imminent threat to life, even if the suspect has not fired his weapon.
The riots in Tottenham on Saturday started after a vigil for Duggan was held at the local police station. Since then it has spread to all corners of London.
Senior police officers have said that while Saturday’s violence was triggered by community grievance in Tottenham, where Duggan lived. But subsequent riots have been described as “pure criminality”.

What the useless government need do is call in the bloody army for fu*cks sake and impose a curfew in the areas affected. angry. And if after this, any potential looters/rioters are still spotted gathering, a warning should be given to them to clear the area within 10 minutes otherwise some knee-caps will be pulverised with REAL bullets.

Honestly, i'm so angry at the softly-softly policing here in London. Pussyfooting around instead of getting tough angry. Imagine using battons for these hardened thugs shocked. Does anyone honestly think this kind of wanton and brazen looting could happen in Nigeria or any other African country? But i guess the metropolitan police have their hands tied with all the 'human rights' nonsense, and not wanting to be seen to be rascist.

No these ones are criminals who mostly never hold down a job, if they are aggrieved with the politicians they should have joined the labour unions during budget cut protest
