A bright primary school kid should be able to explain this to you. The problem here is that power generation is not the immediate problem we have. It is power distribution of which the national grid is not capable of doing without breaking down.
What the Buhari government is doing is similar to what is being done in Egypt. When the grid is upgraded then whatever is generated can be reliably distributed without the constant load shedding and break downs.
