sparko1:It is very wrong and insensitive to put all the blame on the youths involved in this online scam as a full time job. Nigerian leaders; President, Governors, Senators put them all in this mess because if they had performed their leadership roles well and created conducive environment for businesses, entrepreneurship, etc to succeed, these guys wouldn't have ever known what scamming online is. So to solve the problem start from the root cause which is bad leadership that leave legacies of public fund looting, abuse of public office and destruction of hope amongst Nigerian youths. 1 Like |

LORDKing001: And there is a country where everything is available right? most of them don't want to work, they prefer fraud, let's stop deceiving ourselves, right from school, they refuse to acquire the necessary skills to be employable, they spend most of their time partying, managing only to pass by exam malpractice, or bribing lecturer. If you ever paid or cheated in an examination and you expect to be employed when you graduate, you are only deceiving yourself, because even you won't employ yourself. Everyone can come up with excuses why they are into anything unlawful, kidnappers will say, they have a wife that requires kidney transplant but nobody or bank will give them so they kidnap people to rise the money, same with money ritual, armed robbers and yahoo yahoo, there is always excuse. 4 Likes 1 Share |

franchasofficia: You forget our leaders were not imported, they are Nigerians, they were once Nigeria youth. The root of the problem is our mindset, if you even for a second entertain fraud, you are part of the problem, even if God sends his angels, if we the youth don't change our mindset nothing will change. 2 Likes |

Sometimes I wonder what kind of society we now find ourselves in. Our leaders of course are the commanders in chief of fraud. This is why our country is now branded a beehive of fraud and criminality. Is that not shameful? Cry my beloved country! |

NozinoGroup: So the alternative is to defraud others, everyone started small, I started with a 30k job after NYSC, most Nigeria police (rank and file) officer until recently collect salary below 50k. Once you make fraud an alternative, there is no way you will agree to work. |

sparko1:If you put the blame on the people that means you do not understand the role of leadership. Quality leadership by a determined and incorruptible leader will reset the mindset of the people. If a leader isn't stealing, his family members, friends and associates aren't stealing, then it will be easy for the leader to use his life as an example to reorient the people and change their mindset. Take for instance someone like Bola Tinubu, what does he have to tell the people about not stealing not looting not desiring what they do not merit when he is the father of corruption, chop I chop and whatnot? Back in the 50s and 60s and even 80s, Chinese were more criminal minded than Nigerians but a single leader who had the determination to change the statusquo brought the desired change in China and look at China today. The same applies to Singapore. They were corrupt, poor, disorganized until Lee Kuan Yew came onboard and began to lay legacies of transparency in leadership, contentment and incorruptibility and today look at where Singapore. The major problem Nigeria have is leadership and unfortunately Nigerians aren't ready to correct their leadership mistakes by electing credible men with less baggage, not criminals and political jobbers like Tinubu who take politics and state treasury looting as their full time employment 2 Likes 2 Shares |

sparko1: Everything you said isn’t valid. If defrauding people will put food on your table, do it. Survive first! Civil servants and paramilitary/military officers can accept less than 50k salary because there are numerous ways to make money under the table. An immigration officer with 200k/month salary can make 2M extra monthly from passport runs. It is the government’ fault that cost of living is increasing and salaries aren’t. It is the government’s fault that entrepreneurs can’t get access to loans. Unfavorable business conditions and government policies are also the fault of the government. If fraud will help you survive, I’m encouraging you to do it. 7 Likes 2 Shares |
