Typical of Buhari's government. Why not solve the issue resulting to the strike by ASUU. Their solution: register another faction of acedemics, cajole lecturers who are hungry to join and then open universities to continue the gabage in gabage out routine.

Because the only tenable solution is raising fees to a point that would enable universites fund themseives...government owned unis...but would make it difficult for many poor students to go to university.

Alternate solution is taxes.

NLC is an umbrella labour union/organisation. The TUC is a union representing civil servants.

TUC, ASUU, and many other unions are NLC affilates.

Taking it in full, you will see that the minister is constitutionally allowed to register new trade unions even out of existing ones.

ASUU can go to hell. Keeping innocent students at home for 8months. two years ago it was 9months. ASUU must be banned. I support Government.
