I know someone that works with Kilimanjaro mountain abi fast food. He told me everything on this your write up, had it been you mentioned Kilimanjaro I would have thought he’s the one behind this moniker.

He works 6 to 9 every day for 6 days.

I use to think people that work in fast foods and big restaurants get to eat at least a good meal once a day.
No be only good meal. The very moment you as a staff eat their food and them catch you through CCTV or any other way, na sack get you.

Them fit even arrest you for theft join

After I finished secondary school, I worked with a Chinese company that produces baby jelly cream at ikeja. This chinese people have no respect for human being in that company. Pay is every two weeks but trust me it is peanut. You will end up using the money to treat yourself in the hospital because of the huge workload they would use you to do. I was young and I need to hustle as a secondary school fresh graduate.

There was a day I have worked so hard and I was tired. I sat down close to the factory to have some rest. While there one of the chinese people came and started shouting at me to get back to work immediately. I told him that he should allow me to rest for a little time that I am tired. Hearing this the chinese man told me that I am fired (Sacked) I was surprised.

I tried to beg him but he said that I should go. When I realized that I can't change his mind. I told him to pay me for the days I have worked. He asked me to wait and went inside. Later he came outside and asked me to follow him to his office. While in his office this Chinese man started accusing me that I stole his phone and before I could a say a word he started slapping me and demanding for his phone. I was shocked, confused, just stood in his office crying.

Few minutes later, the Chinese man called mopol to arrest me. The mopol came and drag me to the factory security post. While the mopols were dragging me i saw the name of one of them and immediately I know he is a Yoruba man. So I communicated to him in Yoruba language. I told him everything that happened; how I told him I was tired and how he sacked me, how I requested for my pay for the days I worked. When I finished talking the mopol just laughed and said that is their trick here oh. The mopol told me that it is because the Chinese man doesn't want to pay me the money that's why he lied that I stole his phone.

While I was in the security post my friends in my area who also work in the factory have gotten hint of was going on outside. May your soul rest in peace my guy (Ikenna) dude and people that know me in my area have already began protesting in the compound. They said they are not working again as well and they must pay me my money or else nobody would be allowed to work.

When the Chinese people saw the craziness that was playing out from my friends. They called me again into their office and pay me my money. My friends also collected their money and that's how we all left this slavery Chinese factory at Ikeja.

This incident happened more than 15years ago. Whenever I look back I just imagine what would have happened to me if I didn't have those friends to fight for me. That's how I would have been sent to prison by a foreigner in my fatherland oh. Honestly, our government need to be going round all establishment and be talking to staff on how their employeer are treating them. There are so many slavery work in this country and people can't come out to talk about them because of fear of losing the job.

guy to be honest with you I'm reading this with tears in my eyes. What a story, come to think those mopols knows what's going on there and they're government institution WE'RE THE PROBLEM TO OURSELVES very sad

THE WAY THEY EXPLOIT THE VOICE-OVER ARTISTS

AFTER COLLECTING FULL PAYMENT FROM THE BIG COMPANIES TO RUN THEIR TVC AND RADIO COMMERCIALS.....THEY WILL CONTRACT VOICE OVER ARTISTS TO DO THE WORK THEN GO AHEAD TO PAY THEM PEANUTS FROM THE AGREED PRICE OR NOT EVEN PAY THEM AT ALL THEN LIE THAT THE CLIENTS HAVEN'T PAID

EVEN AVOA WHO IS MEANT TO PROTECT THE RIGHTS OF THE VOICE OVER ARTISTS IS SO USELESS

Dantata Smart Pack (DSP) in Abuja, the owner value the worst Indian animal than the best of the Nigerian workers. The man pays the best engineers at most 150k while he pay Indians as low as 1.5M per month. The worst place to ever worked.

Here's an advise to y'all start ypur business while working for someone the truth is this would only help a few people to avoid such companies unfortunately the labor law of Nigeria is non-existent.

Go to Sango Ota and see the modern day slave trade and the government of Ogun state boast of being the industrial state of West Africa.

Indians, Lebanese, Chinese and some Nigerian have turned that place to factories but you need to see these factory workers and you would weep.

Some of the chemicals used are hazardous, no protective gears, some factory workers work with bare foot and hands, a few with slip on. It's disheartening to see many at the gate of these factories as early as 7:00am hoping to be picked for a job so as to fend for their family.

Daily pay is less than a $1 and any mistake or latenesses you will never get your full pay, at the end of the day most factory workers resort to stealing from their employees.

I remember a member of armed force begging a Chinese man that once he opens his factory he would appreciate if he could talk to his superior to allow him work with the man as an escort.

The truth is, these Chinese, indians and Lebanese understand our system and how corrupt our system is. Explain to me how an Indian man would slap a police officer cry
After secondary school, i work for one Chinese factory that produces peanuts. Because of the harsh working conditions, we planned with security to steal peanuts and some equipment there. At night, we stole all the bags of peanuts we produced and every other thing we could steal and ran away. Sold them at giveaway prices just to teach those chinese idiots some harsh lessons.

It may interest you to know that it's still our fellow Nigerians that are enabling this rubbish, na rat wey dey inside dey tell the one outside say fish dey ground. Still Nigerians who told these Chinese how to mess around with you people coz they know the labor laws are weak

Such sad situation.

Fact. Nigerians are terrible. We treat ourselves as slaves. As far e no affect me I'm not bothered. Bad mentality

Omo... Thanks for this.
In Calabar here, I have some connections in an Indian run company called Agrim (a company at EPZ that produces alcoholic drinks) , I was hoping to "pull some strings" to get a job there.... But now I'll be more observant for any red flags before I finally make up my mind.

My own addition is simple...

If you're looking for a job in calabar, never you work in any Hotel, no matter how big or small

Let me explain the most wicked act.

They expect you as a young graduate who jst joined their management team to be held accountable for the declining sales. And this comes with multiple queries and harassment. If their food mistakenly enter your mouth as a staff, you are fired. Infact the second name for that company supposed be "firing squad".

You go on job portals now, you see they are always recruiting. Their sole purpose of recruiting is to fire the new recruits. I no sabi type plenty, i for don give you more details.

Even after i stopped working for them, I dey fear to enter their eatery go eat as a customer because i still dey suffer the PTSD wey come with their useless job.

Yes, you are correct, they recruit all the time. Infact I saw one of their job post yesterday for management trainee.

Hmm!!! Yet some fools want us to believe that Chinese trade and loans to Africa is for our best intrest.

Is it not ironic that most of this bad companies are owned by Chinese, indians, Lebanese and our fellow black Nigerians but the are the worst kind of ppl to work with.

I have not seen anyone complain working for an European or American company.

We are our own worst enemies.
If you Work for indigenous oil servicing firm , you would understand why it hurts to see this multinational foreign oil servicing companies leave.

Indians are too racist especially the dark skin Indians. They transfer their hatred towards blacks in the work place. It's unfortunate that our government don't protect its citizens the way foreign countries do to theirs. When you have a situation in Nigeria that people just get into power to gather what they can and act as if to say they are doing the masses favour by providing basic amenities. This kind of oppressive tendencies by those Indians will continue. We lack patriotism and everything is done to pepper one's political opponents.
I couldn't say it better.
