Platonic relationships don’t fall under the usual dating categories of friends with benefits or casual sex because they are based on communication, trust, and respect rather than romantic feelings or sexual attraction.

However, they can be highly beneficial in their own way. They give you the ability to get to know your friends more deeply than you would if you were simply hanging out casually, which allows you to develop deeper relationships with them.
