Eko o ni baje!

Congratulations to all Lagosians - all the good people of Lagos, not limited to the great and wonderful Yoruba people, the ever lively South-South Lagosian communities, the good and industrious Igbo Lagosians (not the villagers filled with hatred), the trustworthy and hardworking Northerners, the ever strong and vibrant middle-belters.

This is for everyone of us. This is a clear marker that IT IS POSSIBLE even in our Nigeria. Challenge your state governors to do more. Be happy with progress everywhere, celebrate progress even if it's not yours, know that it is also possible with your own state and community. No excuse!

The service is delivered. The utility is obvious. All the money stolen from independence should have achieved this and 2nd Niger Bridge more than 30 years ago but instead our money made the likes of Atiku the prized jewels of Dubai while Nigerians suffer just to move around for their daily activities.

We can challenge the cost but this is the time to celebrate the delivery!

somebody should help me with this guy's comment on obi in 2011

See the shameless enemy of progress below.

The Obi they all condemned as being a mediocre and useless Governor, is who they now say is the last hope of Nigeria.

Ask them the bright future he gave Anambrarians who turned to drug trafficking to survive a very visionless Governor who would rather save public funds in his own Fidelity Bank, and invest some public funds in his own beer business.

Bros, there is no point arguing with kids who do not have knowledge beyond their noses. If truly Lagos was developed by the so-called Jagaban, why isn't the development translated across the other Yoruba states? Lagos is what it is because of the Federal government policy. Allow the Delta States to enjoy 100% of their oil revenue and we will see how much Lagos will generate from its internal revenues or the houses that are built in Lagos were built by Yorubas only Abi?
Then Lagos state should be allowed to collect thrillions of Naira generated annually on the ports.

The Most Urgent Things Now:
Thank You Guardian -TV ,for your thorough briefing! Very interesting!
However, the Lagos State Government ,should as a matter of urgency :
- ensure adequate Security Day and Night of the Train Movements! It wouldn't be excused that a Project of such magnitudes will be going in and out without eagle eyes of Security Operatives( including Private Operatives- as being done in developed Countries), as More People, including elites will surely patronise, like the BRT-Bus Schemes!
- Ensure Maintenance of these Train( the Coaches, the Engine), etc, since Nigeria generally lacks Maintainance Culture!.
A White Man will ensure that the good System in the riding of these Train will not fail or fall below Standards in 20- years to come!
- Remunerate the Workers - through promotion, increment in Salaries and Allowances, with a good Gratuity and Pensions Scheme in place,so that the Best hands can boast of Working there at all times !
• Why is Ikorodu -Region not on the Intercity-Train to reduce the daily Stress of Thousands of People living and moving daily in this Regions and paradventure, extend it to Epe from Ikorodu!
These Intercity-Train Initiatives,will suddenly reduced:
• the heavy Traffic on the Roads and reduced the Stress.
• Reduced the heavy Transportation Costs on the Masses.
Let's think of the Future, like White Men,by making Lagos Great!
God bless Lagos State!

I was stating the uncomfortable raw facts without minding whose ox is gored! Why should I be jealous? Jealous of who? Where is the tribal angle to Lagos State imagined or real success that should make me jealous? Was/is Lagos a Yoruba success story? Which part of Lagos development can be solidly attributed to Yoruba ingenuity? Roads? Murtala airport? Tin Can Port? National stadium? National Arts Theater? All the mainland bridges? The flyovers? Festac and Trade Fair Complexs that bring in billions? Egbin Power station? Can you tell me how the Yorubas developed Lagos but failed to develop Oshogbo and link those to my presumed jealousy? Let's start from there.. B uecause I can see Kaduna and Kano in the North and I can see Onitsha, Port Harcourt and Aba in the East, all propped up by the locals! Can you say anything about Ogbomosho, Akure and Oshogbo for once?

How come you miss Ibadan and Abeokuta, none of your useless place in the east, can stand beside any of this place, damaged brain.

I want to ask a question here.
A lot of commenters on nairaland always alluded to the fact Tinubu brought agbero to Lagos.
Who brought the one in Port Harcourt and Aba?

I live in Port Harcourt and can attest to fact that agbero is everywhere at almost all the bus stop.
Talk of Rumuola, Rumuokoro, mile 3, mile 1, China, Garrison etc.
WHO BROUGHT THEM

Yes, they can do so, if they prove that they had a Governor who laid a roadmap and made sure development projects are done.

If Anambra is overtaxing traders and be making 100 billion naira a month, a poorly built monorail won't be the template to measure her infastructural success! You would have seen something more futuristic. Lagos economy is bigger than that of Benin republic but you agbadorians like to measure dikcs with Gombe and Ebony States! States that don't make as much as a single Local Government in Lagos State! Up the ante! Raise the bar!! Stop lowering the bar into the latrines for havens sake!!!

Your criticism makes no sense here honestly. Your problem has nothing to do with the rail it’s just down to politics to you. Every can see through your ruse. Up your antics first before you advise another state on what to do.

Why would they brag that they developped Abuja when the federal govt through FCDA is already laying the foundation and developing the city? In the future, people including yourself would not agree with them when they glory that it was a certain governor who developed the city. That's exactly what people are trying to say in the case of Lagos.

You know the stupidity of your argument. Because you know that Abuja is not a state and has been administered by federal government as a whole. That’s not the situation with Lagos. That’s why it’s stupid argument to claim Lagos was capital, and all its development was due to federal presence. That’s not true as you know. Because it has always been a state as distinct from federal structures in it.
