We accept that the Lagos railway is mediocrity. Where is the world standard Onitsha monorail that Peter Obi initiated vide an MOU in 2010? Is 12 years not enough to get the project beyond the MOU stage?

Yet the north is far ahead of the BARREN land called S/E.

Far ahead in what way?

Prosperity?

HDI?
Healthcare?
Peace?

Education?

The only thing you guys are ahead at is in the number of fine useless roads that leads to nowhere, and the number of invalid children on the streets.

You guys are languishing at the bottom of the developmental ladder.

Show me similar projects in osun, ondo or ekiti and I will clap for your ethnic politics.

A group of brigands in Lagos who are specialists in state capture allocated $1.2billion of states resources to a project that cost $300m on the Chinese stock exchange.

The Lagos Politicians pilfered away over $900M on a $300M locomotive project that took over 13 yrs to do.

That $900M can do a lot for osun, ondo or ekiti and turn those states from backward yoruba jungles to decent habitats.

Why would they brag that they developped Abuja when the federal govt through FCDA is already laying the foundation and developing the city? In the future, people including yourself would not agree with them when they glory that it was a certain governor who developed the city. That's exactly what people are trying to say in the case of Lagos.

That shows that your argument of lagos being federal capital does not fly. Abuja is not a state, so nobody can lay claim to its development except federal government. Lagos is a state and governors can lay claim to its development. Only 1/5 of lagos was under federal control. How can you claim the whole of lagos was developed by federal government?

They have just used $1.2b on a $300M project, most of the funds going into Private pockets.

Which devt are you talking about?

Are you not ashamed?

Is this overinflated locomotive rail something to be proud?

That is why Lagos cannot compare to any of its peers in Africa.
The corruption is too staggering.

Casablanca in Morocco would build an electric rail for $400M.

Tinubu boys built a locomotive for $1.2billion.

Keep deluding yourself. Kano state alone can buy the whole of the BARREN land called S/E which is why S/E people keep swarming to the North like hungry flies

For your information, CRIMINAL S/E brought all the insecurity to peaceful Nigeria.

Two of the three most deadly terrorists group in the world according to the United Nations are based in the North.

Two inside three.

What is the contribution of the North to Nigeria?

And no, the middle belt does not count.

The fare has not been determined as commercial operations hasn't begun yet. The trains will be using the same Cowley card used for the BRT and you can recharge your card online.

Instead of thess northerners to dedicate 80% of their budget to education and interest free loans.

They will rather squander it on Islamic pilgrimage, hisbah, and useless flyovers.

The rest of the country will now share in the burden of such policy foolishness.

I don't play with backward jackals that are determined to foist criminal presidents on the rest of us and reduce the standard of living and the level of aspirations of the entire country to that of the North.

People that are content with backwardness and poverty, and claim it is the will of Allah, and that leaders should not be questioned, should not be deciding presidents for any civilised nation.

See who is saying north is not safe yet his parasitic S/E brothers cannot travel home. North is bad but the GDP of Northern states is far more than the BARREN land called S/E.
North is not good but the parasitic criminals S/E keeps running out of their Hamlets to the north like flies everyday

North is not good but S/E cannot even travel home for Christmas. Nothing scares S/E more than telling him to go home

You know the stupidity of your argument. Because you know that Abuja is not a state and has been administered by federal government as a whole. That’s not the situation with Lagos. That’s why it’s stupid argument to claim Lagos was capital, and all its development was due to federal presence. That’s not true as you know. Because it has always been a state as distinct from federal structures in it.

Please you can make your points without sounding emotional. My point is that the federal govt presence has brought a lot of development in Abuja. The government may decide in 100 years time for example to relocate the capital to another city and a new Gbagyi governor may decide to claim the credit for a developed Abuja forgetting the federal presence aided the development of the city. So you cannot argue the fact that Lagos didn't benefit immensely for being a former federal capital. Talk about the harbours, airport, good road networks including flyovers and so on

You have chosen to ignore my counter argument for obvious reason. Lagos was not the as Abuja. You ignore that. No point further discussing this issue.

If Anambra is overtaxing traders and be making 100 billion naira a month, a poorly built monorail won't be the template to measure her infastructural success! You would have seen something more futuristic. Lagos economy is bigger than that of Benin republic but you agbadorians like to measure dikcs with Gombe and Ebony States! States that don't make as much as a single Local Government in Lagos State! Up the ante! Raise the bar!! Stop lowering the bar into the latrines for havens sake!!!
Red herring! Answer the poser raised.

Maybe when you understand the difference between conceiving a project and initiating one then I can engage you. I have zero tolerance for those that can’t use their heads. To who a brain is given, sense is expected. This project was initiated by Tinubu and delivered by Sanwo-olu. I am allergic to stupid people . it’s better to be silent and thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt. If you were half as smart as you think you are, you’d be twice as smart as you really are.
