You are really intoxicated with this scam and ponzi scheme of Labour Party and Obi. Why don’t you go to Anambra and do your business there? Why didn’t you go home for Christmas, if you will come back alive? The whole of southeast is a death circus and you are happy as a refugee in Lagos. Yet you are shouting Obi. Aren’t you ashamed? If Obi can solve security problems of Nigeria, why is he supporting IPOB and hobnobbing with sheik Gumi, the friend of bandits? Are you going to advice Obi to drink tea with bandits this new year? Onyi ara!!

We really need to commend the Ogun and Oyo state governors for mobilizing security agents to the notorious Lag-ib expressway.
As the op highlighted, everybody living or having business to do in the south-west must specially commend Gov. Rotimi Akeredolu for his doggedness in setting up Amotekun against all odds.
If not for GOD and the efforts of Amotekun, most people will not be able to travel again. There was a time fulani herdsmen were Kidnapping people on a daily basis on Ibadan-Ife expressway before Amotekn dislodged them.
Again, I single out Gov. Akeredolu for exceptional commendation out of the six south-west governors for spear-heading the Amotekun formation.
May GOD bless him and his family abundantly.
No doubt, history will be kind to him.

When we say a progressive from southwest must rule Nigeria, this is the reason.

We commend the South West governors for creating Amotekun

But the fact must be laid bare here that Tinubu never supported the formation of Amotekun
He blatantly refused to lend his support because he didn't want to offend the Northerners because Amotekun was going to go after the killer fulani herdsmen and bandits killing and kidnapping people in the entire south west

All these was because of his dead on arrival life long ambition of becoming the president of Nigeria

Lol.

I like you. You have an uncanny measure of persistence and it's amiable. Be that as it may, it will make for a fancier picture of intellect if you could add a sprinkle of keen observation and interlocutory tact, in your day to day engagements with other people. That way, you'd have long noticed that I held absolutely no bias from my very first sentence. I don't care for that fellow or his tribal inclinations. I just want you to have a serene night devoid of banter and bile.

I shuttle between Ibadan, Abeokuta and Lagos often. I'm mostly on that expressway but for a while now I've been stuck in Ibadan cuz of the numerous evil news about the Fulani herdsman menace on that highway.

Just before this December I read on the news some AIG visited this very same highway and together with Seyi Makinde the governor of Oyo state, I remember they promised that the road will become safer and there should be no panicking or fear and that people should go about their journey as it would become just as before where everyone can travel safely using the expressway.

Hehe. Yesterday was my favourite cousin introduction at Abeokuta and I had no choice than to be there.

I took a public bus (not that I have a car though but I can always get one when the need arise) off to Abeokuta and on my way what I saw makes me wanna go to every SW government house and say a very big thank you to all our governors.

There are bunch of Amotekun stations, Police, Army. Almost at every where till the end of Oyo state axis and then when you get to the Ogun state axis, you will see the OP Mesa patrolling the whole expressway.

The Ibadan axis has actually been the hotspot for the criminals actually but almost everywhere on the road you will see Amotekuns station even 12 am I was still on the road yesterday travelling safely with peace of mind seeing the huge security on that expressway.

This is Akeredolus biggest achievement so far in governance as the chairman of the SWGF. I couldn't help but be once again glad and proud to be South Westerner yesterday when I saw Amotekuns stations all over the place.

What I found amazing the most yesterday was if your car/vehicle get broken, you'd be surprised at the speed the OP Mesas and Amotekuns would get to you to stay with you while you fix it. Damn. They will stay right there with you protecting you untill your car can move again. Na. This is all that I ever pray for.

I'm so proud of SW governors for Amotekun. God bless them so much. Tonim God bless you and yours too. Thanks for all the love you have for Yorubaland.

Yorubaland will sure take its place God willing.

This is where I have to doff my hat off for Ndiyoruba............Akeredolu scored a hat trick with that Amotekun outfit! compare that with the disaster that is Ebube agu security force.......Nigerians should allow TPOB / ESN straighten out the emasculated fulani lackeys that call themselves governors in the East..............The useless South east governors recruited political thugs into the outfit but I gather amotekun is run by retired miltary officers.

It is pretty open that the average educated Igbo is so biased towards Yoruba and anything Yoruba. I will advise them to simmer and do things in such a way that more Yoruba people are drawn into the obidiat camp for obidatti to attain the Nigerian presidency.

Otherwise, overzealousness and unbridled enthusiasm on their part will create a gulf that will be difficult to bridge by the obidatti presidential campaign team.

Obi is looking good but unbridled enthusiasm can kill the dream.

Lol... There's no tribe in Nigeria and even in Africa in general that is more industrious and talented than the Igbos, you can take it to the bank. This is a people that fought 30months bloody war on their region and was given 20 pounds irrespective of the amount they had in the bank before the war.

Aside Lagos, there's no South Western State that is more developed than any state in the East.

Fayose even sent Ekiti youths to Aba and Onitsha to learn trade.

http://www.vanguardngr.com/2015/06/new-lawmakers-define-ekiti-stomach-infrastructure/?utm_source=&utm_medium=facebook#sthash.6xtp1nVo.dpuf

Even the academics the Yorubas were known with have been taken over by the Igbos. Igbos are competing aggressively in every sector.

Go to the war museum in Umuahia and see the weapons the Igbos manufactured during the war. It's on record the Igbos built modular refineries to refine their fuel during the war but after 50years Nigeria can't refine fuel for local consumption.

The war the Igbos fought made them stronger than any other tribe in Nigeria and that's the truth. Go to Ghana, South Africa, Botswana, Angola, Namibia, Kenya etc you will see Igbo owned businesses everywhere.

In the end I believe for Nigeria to really move forward the Igbos must be made to feel at home in the union called Nigeria. Nigeria needs the industrious spirit of the Igbos to move forward. Yoruba and Northerners are good with administration and government jobs but that's not what will create wealth that will be enough to pull over 133M people out of multidimensional poverty.

Igbos have no time to hate anyone. Igbos are the only people that truly believe in one Nigeria. They go to every state to build houses and establish a business. Igbos want excellence and progress. The first Mayor of Enugu that elected was Umaru Altine from Sokoto state. That was before independence in 1960.

Over the years we have become so close that the idea of a division is almost unthinkable. My aunt married Yoruba. So my cousins are Yoruba and we grew up together. Marriage between Igbos and Yorubas happen everyday.

Tribalism is just an illusion. Elumelu is from my village in Delta state. But if I take my wedding invitation card to him and Seyi Tinubu takes his Wedding Invitation card to him. He will first honour Seyi Tinubu before he will consider me. But we're from same village.

The problem of Nigeria is class struggle.

Very soon we will deport all of them back to Biafra land. We are watching out. I hear some of you are already seeking for local government letter in Lagos State. We will make sure you don’t get it. Go back to Biafra and apply for visa to enter southwest. And we have discretion to refuse all applications. It will be easier to secure a US visa than to secure a Lagos visa when you are given Biafra. grin.

Don't turn this to your banters thread... Lagos state has no single contribution to the safety of lives and properties of commuters on Lagos/Ibadan express way, even when Lagos state is the most beneficiary of other southwestern states governments efforts.

Tinubu had done practically nothing to ameliorate the challenges of Yoruba nation at any time... No wonder he's Jagaban of Borgu Kingdom and not Yorubas'

I am very sure that person isn't Igbo, he's just here to cause confusion and stir up hate between Igbos and Yoruba. I am not Yoruba neither a southerner but I have big admiration for akerelodu, he's bold and spoke out at the height of insecurity in the southwest.

Reading this experience makes me happy because the security is for the safety of all including us traveling within and all over Nigeria. The security outfit in the west is the right step to introducing state police.

Amotekun has retained the quiet support of the populace, and that's partly because:

1. They are recruited from local communities, not strangers transferred from far away States who don't know the local environment, or speak the language.

2. They generally keep a low profile - no gra gra, no harassing people.

3. The people see them as a force for good.

4. I believe some measures were taken to ensure those recruited were proposed/supported/guaranteed by local people, so if you mess up, the authorities know your family house, your parents, uncle, aunt, and even where your baby mamas live etc cool

Ironically, I think their limited powers have been key to their success.

The day they have the power to stop and arrest people, things might be different.

We citizens have failed in our Democratic responsibilities, instead of asking these Governors, of Our State and Federal Legislatures on their own responsibilities,we play the Ostrich Game- no concerns me( KO kon mi) until everything is upside down, yet most of the Nigerian Governors can't account for NBILLIONS of their Yearly Security Votes Funds in their Budgets and they would still come and blame the Federal Govt, which many of us do support directly or indirectly!
