It appears that japhet04 has disappeared into thin air by virtue of deactivating his/her account which to me is an admission of guilt. I've had my doubt all along since the two account posted their account numbers on the post. Japhet04 posted at 2:20pm and TissuePaper posted at 2:27pm, no other winner posted their account details in between. Secondly, when I got the account details in my email from the supposed japhet04 and TissuePaper, the timing were awfully close (about 5 mins apart), no other emails in-between.

I felt those might be circumstantial so I dug deeper. I saw many posts linking both accounts to same person. I waited for the either of the accounts to come and defend the allegations flying around, but it never happened.

Hence the 2 slots previously allocated to japhet04 and TissuePaper are hereby withdrawn. Ideally the next 2 on the Standby list are aalafin and tywo42, however aalafin does not satisfy any of the requirements. Therefore, the 2 slots are now allocated to tywo42 and Depressedlad.

tywo42 and Depressedlad, you both should either post your full account details here or only your account number and send your full details to the email: humblegiveaway2020@gmail.com

aalafin, if this decision is not right, send me your proof of eligibility.

Yes Sir, you can be smart and be honest. I don't want to start with the story of Joseph but what I want you to know is that you can't be honest and expect people to like you, don't be honest and expect it to pay off, let honesty be your personality and those that called you a fool for being honest will come for you when they need an honest person for a job or contract!

Let me ask you this question,
If you were to own a company and needs someone to manage your company's finances,
1. will you appoint that your close friend who is corrupt and involved you into various bad acts
Or
2. Will you appoint that friend you never liked because of his uprightness and honesty?

It pays to be honest in due time!

Peace cool

On point .

God will lead us through

All winners, but one, have been credited and this brings the giveaway to a close.
For the records, the strategy I used to select the eventual winners was a combination of three ideas suggested when I asked for suggestions.

First-Come-First-Serve + You-Must-Work-For-It-To-Win-It + Honesty

When I set those questions, the thought was to see who will be willing to put in some efforts and participate in the quiz. Here are the steps I followed.

1. Posted the questions at 10:27pm
2. Ended the testing at 10:38pm
3. Started the screen recording at 10:38pm till 10:43pm
4. Collected names of EVERYONE that posted between 10:27pm and 10:43pm starting from Olamilekxy (I didnt care about your answers at this time. Even if you only booked space)
5. For each and every names collected above, I cross-checked the status of their answers when I recorded the screen with what they currently have. Anyone whose answer(s) had been edited was automatically dropped.
6. I did not have enough names that were qualified within the time frame of 10:27pm to 10:38pm, so I extended the selection till when my screen recording ended.
7. Total of 31 names made the cut. This is where the individual scores were used for ranking, which put 4 names in Standby List.

I want to thank everyone that participated, either you win or you did not. Those that critized constructively, you are aprreciated. Those that threw tantrum, you were noticed. Those that were silent observers, you are loved. To those that won, congratulations!. To those that were not selected, I'm sorry. That you did not win this time does not mean you are a loser. In life, you win some and you lose some.

Giving should not be till you have millions. There are people out there praying to be in your positiion. Givers never lack.

I'm happy I was able to put smiles on the faces of some people.
I'm sad because I know with the current situation in Nigeria, so many people actually really need some financial intervention but I cannot do for everyone.
I'm very glad that some people with their entitlement mentality were frustrated.

Before signing off, I will like to say a few things that I realized in the course of this.

1. An average Nigeria is very selfish. When things are rolling in their favor, it is the best thing after slice bread but when thing turns outside of their expectation, it's tagged fraud, manipulated, cheat, not free and fair e.t.c.
2. An average Nigerian lack the patience to read. This is very saddening.
3. There are still decent and honest Nigerians out there.
4. Following the laid down rules is very alien to majority of Nigerians. Right from those in government to the last common man, nobody wants to follow the rules.
5. Majority of kids these days are into get rich quick syndrome which is why a lot of them are wasting away their money on betting. Betting has been in existence from time immemorial but the rate at which the best shops are now being patronized these days in very alarming.
6. Figuratively speaking, majority Nigerians desire the goodies of heaven but no one wants to die. They want the best of life but does not want to work for it.
7. Sense of entitlement by some Nigerians is mind-boggling. I've never seen such anywhere else in my entire life. If you allow them, they will dictate how you live your life for you, as long as it is going to favor them.

If Nigerians want Nigeria to be like America, then Nigerians MUST be ready to do things how it's done in America. It's as simple as that.

Oh I will be very ungrateful if I forget to thank the person that handled the disbursement. He's one Nigerian that I have never met in person but I can entrust him with any amount of money. He's a tested and trusted fellow and I don't see him as anything else but a brother. He's a Nairalander and I'm 1000% sure he's seeing this.

Thank you very much for not betraying my trust in you.

honestly

Some were even insulting you because it didn't go their way. It's so annoying and irritating at the same time seeing that. I sincerely understand that they may be broke and the money might actually be their last hope

Nonetheless, i don't think it's enough reason to throw tantrums at you. I am also as broke as they are but that doesn't mean i should go about insulting anyone who's trying to give to the needy simply because i wasn't fortunate enough to be a partaker

Nba

Thank you so much sir for your kindness to us so far. You're actually doing what some of our family members will never do. I honestly pray door of blessings open to you and your entire household. You will never lack anything good in life

Please pray for us too so that we can also be like you someday

Snowland.

Re: 270k Giveaway To Lucky Nairalanders - Selection Thread. by Kolenda(m): 8:27pm On Jan 02, 2023
Thank you once again snowland for giving out to this community. I am also grateful to God for the favour to be a beneficiary. Honestly, this fund is already going a long way for me this Jan.
Suffice it to say that my visiting the Travel section is to gain adequate knowledge and prepare myself for my own turn so I see it as a double blessing to also benefit from this giveaway.

snowland:

You did well on this

1. An average Nigeria is very selfish. When things are rolling in their favor, it is the best thing after slice bread but when thing turns outside of their expectation, it's tagged fraud, manipulated, cheat, not free and fair e.t.c.

Your An average Nigerian phrase is not cool. Stop taking our dear country down pls.

Also your point 5 is needless here. Dont get me wrong, i use to gamble before but have already made a new year resolution to stop betting(so help me GOD) You have already acknowledge that betting existed since, Going foward, you should have been asking why many Nigerians patronize betting shops nowadays, i can authoritatively tell you that many are not comfortable with betting but that seems to be the only hope cos nothing seems to be working in our present Nigeria except corruption or many times, man know man. I am not standing for or supporting betting pls but it is what it is.[/quote]

Snowland.

All the same, i have learnt a whole lot on this your thread, i also pray God should bless me too so that i will not be cutting corners to get cash for myself.

Thanks again for the kind gesture to your fellow country men, you are greatly appreciated.

May God bless you more this 2023 in Jesus name.
