I actually thought that your main focus would have been on the main objective which would been ensuring to attend the interview and securing the job ahead of you. That way you would have tried everything possible to overcome any form of temptation that wants to pose as an obstacle on your way to success.
You still had #500 new note with you alongside the old notes which was an assurance that you will still be able to pay for your transportation to and fro, moreso who knows if other drivers would have accepted the old notes from you subsequently. But you were more focused on remaining enough balance of new notes for your feeding later which explains more which one was more important to you. Honestly fighting conductors would have been the last thing on your mind if you were really a futuristic person but all the same, you have learnt your bitter lesson. I laughed because it almost happened me too. It happened after my interview in US embassy. I was filled with anger because I knew I bleeped up during the interview.
While I was a going to the nearest bus stop a dispatch rider almost hitted me. With the anger in me,I knocked the helmet and the guy turned back,that was how we almost exchanged blows. Luckily,OP Mesa arrived on time to settle us and told other stupid dispatcher riders to go their ways.
