Igbos are Open enemy to SW when it comes to power, they beef SW in all ramifications and even trying to plant divisions among us so that they can take advantage. Their forefathers Zik first made attempt to take over Lagos and he was repelled by great Awo.

You’re nothing but a tribal bigot, someone who people are supposed to be looking up to as a young man but have nothing to put except Ethnic war clothes.
How can you say Igbo are enemy of SW when you know clearly that Yoruba like us are pure enemy of Igbos, people like you don’t even have any clear ideas why you voted for BAT except cos he is a Yoruba man, you did not even bait an eyelids on how your children’s children would be leaving a peaceful and standard of life in future, It’s a shame my brother.

It doesn't seem like the United States will alienate the government of Nigeria anytime soon.

South Africa and Nigeria are the biggest economies and most powerful countries in sub-saharan Africa. South Africa leans towards China and Russia as a strategic member of the BRICS block. It is strategically dicey to let Nigeria fall to the transnational union that is desperate for multipolarity and the reduction of America's influence across the Atlantic.

Since the autochthonous people resolved in 1960 to be independent of Britain and sealed a republican deal in '63, successive leaders of Africa's most populous country have been inclined to neutrality in international politics. During the historical cold war, we were outspoken about our "Non-alignment policy" as a country.

The best America can do for us to reciprocate our gesture of neutrality that we've maintained over the years is not to interfere in our domestic democracy. Since 1999, the USA is committed to working with any Nigerian President mandated by Nigerians to lead the country. Their position will not change in 2023 because of the opinion of an ugly masculine woman.

Chimamanda, the tribal bigot, should find a more honourable method of grieving. I recommend that she hugs a transformer 😂

We overate ourselves. Singapore the size of ikorodu is doing yearly export to US of over $30b against $3b of Nigeria. Nigeria does less than 0.2% of the total trades with US.

This lady should better stick to her craft of writing books. So she expects Biden to annul the elections based on how influential she thinks she is. Please let her go & sleep & wallow in her loss.

I lost my respect for her when she turned down the award the same country she is trying to defend gave her & went to collect one chieftancy title from her people living in the same country. She is a Tribal bigot & has no capacity to speak on behalf of Nigeria, she can speak on behalf of beerfraud.

Did you even read her writing at all?

Is it possible for another country's President to annul another's election?

Why didn't USA congratulate Nigeria immediately election was concluded like those countries who did ever since?
Why until Lai Mohammed came around to US, to force a congratulatory message out of them?

She didn't expect US to cancel anything, US could have as well kept or maintained their silence they have held into since.

She didn't throw away her citizenship of Nigeria, if she decided to say something which many less than her paygrade have been saying, why crucifying her?

Wole Soyinka refused national award.
China Achebe refused national award.
Gani Fawehinmi refused national award.
And so many others.
She refusing national award doesn't make her opinion equal to noise making.

I am not really her fan, but it is odious and unthinkable for APC and their ilks to think people who feel cheated should keep dumb-silent just because they won. Did they actually win, free and fair, is a question begging answer.

If it were the other way round, would APC keep silent?

All the years of PDP, the records of unprintable things that AD, AC, APC and Buhari's former party did and said are out there in the media.
Funny enough, APC in power today has done more than they ever accused PDP of doing. So, what really is the issue of not being tolerant when opposition speaks up?

First, Chiamanda basically needs to calm down.

The fact is, her side lost simply because they were not united. It was blatantly obvious, from the word go, that most people did not like APC and that most people wanted APC out. The results of the elections prove it...two thirds of Nigerians did not vote for APC.

The problem was that the opposition was divided. That is why they lost, and that is why we have an unpopular president elect...possibly the most unpopular one in years. And it is not that Tinubu is that popular, many APC members don't like him..nay, they DESPISE him. But when it was time for the main event, they stayed united and focused, even if it meant supporting Tinubu. Meanwhile the gladiators on the other side ....Atiku, Wike, Obi and Kwakwaso, were busy fighting and splitting the opposition vote because they all wanted to be president.(Did you see Yahaya Bello, Umahi, even Osibanjo and Amaechi fighting Tinubu after Tinubu was chosen? No.)

The problem also is that most Nigerians in the opposition will not learn their lessons. Instead they will blame 'rigging' .Well, there was no rigging in this eleciton, or how did APC lose the three K states? Or Lagos. Or even lose parts of the North East...that have been sure bankers since 2003? Impossible.

But that is the way most Nigerians behave. We are all very egoistical people. Even the APC that is rejoicing now...their ego won't let them accept the 2011, and 2007 and 2003 elections results...which they clearly lost. And if we lose, our ego tells us the elecitons were rigged.

Well, we beat APC, but we lost to disunity. Next time, make we unite to get APC out. To kick APC out in 2027 is a task that must be done.

Part 1:

Dear Chimamanda, what beautiful nonsense you just penned!

It was a portrayal of angst by an unrepentant tribal bigot trying assiduously to whip up sentiments by appealing to the American public!

As much as you try to discredit the electoral victory won by Tinubu, you and your co-travellers will not succeed. Lobbying for cancellation of the election or howling jeremiads on the streets of Washington D.C by attempting to be a back-alley abortionist of people's will and currying international support will all amount to an exercise in futility.

You and your ilk have caused so many problems in Nigeria that you should be ashamed of what you just wrote. In 1993, it was one hellish scoundrel called Arthur Nzeribe who quickly formed ABN to brazenly scuttle and torpedo the freest election conducted in Nigeria then. This time around, your are in the fray to do the same, treading the famished, inglorious, perfidious, labyrinthine, serpentine, deathful and dastardly pathways that Arthur Nzeribe once trod with a mission to set Nigeria ablaze again. You will not succeed in your devious enterprise.

Your tribal and fillial appendage with Gregory Peter Obi is well understood as blood will ever be thicker than water, but for you to pen a nonsensical gibberish with the sole aim of overriding the victory of Mr Tinubu, it is too pedestrian, disingenuous, malevolent, irresponsible and condescending. Your overrated candidate came a distant third in that contest and the earlier you realize that, the better for you. Your Obiscopic lenses through which you narrowly, myopically and parochially viewed the election would soon break into minute useless shards with banal hues. If you know so much about politics, why not put your hat into the ring? You just have whittled down whatever miniscule respect some people may have had for you thus far and many would start seeing an inveterate ethnic champion in you, henceforth.

Ever heard of force majeur? Why didn't you read the account of why INEC jettisoned the initial plan of real-time transmission of the results? Why are you more catholic than the Pope? Why are you belittling, insulting, assailing and assaulting our intelligence, sensitivities and sensibilities through your invective-riddled submission to President Biden unconscionably? By trying to pen repetitive allegory and obfuscate the whole process, you are nothing but a dangerous, uncharitable, over-venerated specie giving a tacit support to an unruly chauvinist brigade hellbent on pulling down the country just because one trading fellow with unscholarly English and dirty past did not win. You hobnobbed with like minds given to depravity to concoct lies as gallop polls in the run-up to that exercise so as to browbeat some undiscerning minds into a transparent subterfuge ---believing that your candidate would win.

It was in the public domain that your kith and kin tried all manners of dirty tricks through hacking to rig in your candidate so that you would later shout hurrah, the election result followed the pattern of your doctored gallop polls which you had bored us with ab initio. Online activism does not win elections. Somebody failed woefully to appeal to a huge segment of the population in the entire north and won only within his enclave, and rather than see this as a true reflection of the people's will, you busied yourself throwing incendiary adjectives all over America to carpet everybody in Nigeria so as to throw away the baby with the bath water as if we were still a colony of the West. The earlier you borrow yourself some sense the better.

You and your people want to emasculate everybody and plunge this nation into another blitzkrieg of unimaginable proportion, you will not succeeed this time around. Working in cahoots with some strange bedfellows or with those of same toxic and cacophonous cerebral to, yet again, annul that election is an invitation to anarchy.

Hypocrites and bandwagons

You see, she was just being childish. She said she expected her candidate to win based on predicted polls. This is where I faulted her.

Which predicted polls?

Polls conducted by Peterside Atodo?

The same Peterside Atodo that hired his private chopper to Obi for campaign?

Haba, what credible poll do you expect from him?

Well, a woman would always be a woman.

She couldn't manage her emotion but she went too far.

Politics in Nigeria is not totally based on predicted polls. 2 days to election, in fact 24 hrs to election, anything can happen that would change the narrative. You see some movements across party lines. Some weak parties collapsing for stronger parties even on the eve of election. Everyone would want to be with a suspected winner.
