Yes, a good number of people still do paper recharge, especially in the rural areas where it's difficult to even have an acct talk more of doing online top ups.

Moreso, paper recharge comes with some additional goodies like some amount of data depending on how much paper recharge u did and free calls that is equivalent to the initial recharge etc.

I really wish online recharge wasn't available. The money my phone eat monthly, im bi low-key senior man to me

Actually wish we had unlimited talk + text plans like most OECD countries.

The telcos are shafting heavy users who'd benefit from a flat rate per line.

24 hours of calls at N9/min is 12K. How much is DSTV Premium?

I can't even remember when last I bought paper recharge card. I recharge my lines directly from my bank app.

But to your question, I think so. Most people in rural and remote parts of Nigeria do not have access to smart phones...they still use normal Torchlight phones. Meaning they'll have to buy paper recharge cards in order to get call credits.

And it's still a lucrative business there unlike big cities where people hardly buy paper cards.
ussd works on all phones.

Bro I'm talking about core rural areas of Nigeria. Places with no electricity. During my NYSC days I happened to serve in one of those communities.
