Sorry boss but I will advise you go for a medical check up and also run an X-ray…you might have sustained an internal injury without knowing.
Lost one young man of recent….the same story as yours but he was a carpenter….dude didn’t go for any check up and died 2 weeks later after complaining of chest pain within 3hrs…he was rushed to the hospital but it was later already….he sustained a heart injury.

Went about my business as usual now that has come back to haunt me because on that same leg I have done three orthopedic surgeries all high risk still yet I haven't corrected the leg.

The pains I feel on the leg is out of here, I can't climb stairs or even walk a distance of 10 mins anymore.

That nasty fall changed everything about my life and I have still not recovered from it. My kneecap was affected. So you see you need to go run x-ray and scan as soon as possible. If you have money for a CT scan please spare because you said your head was impacted heavily so as to rule out internal bleeding.

Sorry Bro, this how one of my Son fell down from one storey building when he was barely 3 yrs. He had a crack skull and it's wasn't easy for us because he nearly died. To the Glory of God Almighty and thanks to the Neuro Surgeon Dr and his team who save his Life. He was operated on the head here in Nigeria. Teaching Hospital nearly finished my son, I have to act fast and transfer him to Neuro Surgeon Specialist. Today, he is almost 6 yrs old and he is perfectly alright.

When using ladder, let's consider some safety measures

1. Make sure you have someone at the base who will help you hold it in position

2. When the risk of falling is higher, request for scaffolding

3. Never use a ladder on sloppy base, your weight can make it slip any moment

4. When you are at higher height, make sure you use your harness belt, where you will anchor for your safety.

5. When all the safety precautions are not provide or not in place, it is better to leave the job.

I do house painting and farming. So I got this small painting work that could have help me earn some money which I really needed it, thus, I grabbed it with joy. A one story building. It is one side of the house, given to me by the main contractor. Everything was going fine until at some point when i shifted the ladder to another position, put a stopper at the base so that the ladder won't slip. Everything looked good just like l have been doing all the while before I climbed it. While still climbing far up with a bucket of paint and long roller on my left hand, suddenly, the ladder slipped backwardly and with speed like siooooooooooood....... (like in a second or two) till it crashed landed. You know that kind sioooood sound. Meanwhile, I can't explain when the paint left my hand back to the ground and when I also left the ladder without even knowing, on free fall until I crash landed too. There was nothing to hold or anyway to help myself to land well. Chai, may we not die while looking for our daily bread. That was how I landed on my back roughly and hit the head on the wall. Chai, come and see me in this condition, no how you won't pity me. I didn't even know what to do immediately on crashing on the ground, to cry hungry me but I no fit cry at the same time.

Worse thing is that this kind of fall does not give any room to defend yourself. You just fall helplessly like a bag of fufu and land anyhow. Poor me! This hapoened after 10am today.

As it were, that was the end of the work and am back in the house now licking my wounds. Since the job is at personal-risk, whatever you see, you take. Nobody to complain to for sympathy.

Meanwhile, my second child is less than a month old. Praise be to God for not letting this moment of joy turn to tears, assuming injuries required medical emergency or even death.

To be a man is not a day job. It takes a lot to build to become a man especially, financially.
