Tinubu & Fashola In Fresh War by Relax101(m): 11:19pm On Sep 29, 2011
Tinubu, Fashola In Fresh War …as Lagos Gov Cripples Ex-gov’s Businesses!
Hitherto hidden cracks have begun to emerge in LagosStatein the relationship between Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola and his predecessor in office, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s,Global News can exclusively confirm.
Before now, there had been a bit of niggle between them but they made up in the run-up to the last gubernatorial election in the state. Then, Fashola was in the mood for anything just to emerge as Action Congress of Nigeria’s flag bearer, and so he met Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s demand to sign Alpha Beta, the latter’s company, to be responsible for collecting taxes in the state. Several billions of naira, which included the company’s 10 percent commission for its services to Lagos State Government that was being held back by Fashola, was let go. The governor also promised to be of ‘good behaviour’ subsequently.
However, if what happened then warmed Tinubu’s heart, it pissed Fashola off, and now he is not playing the good godson. Less than 100 days into his second tenure, Fashola and his godfather are not getting along fine with each other. Their friendly disposition in public in recent times is just to keep up appearances. Beneath the pose is genuine bitterness. That is how bad things have come between them.
Sources told Global News that since Fashola returned to office, Alpha Beta’s 10 percent commission of the N18billion, which it generates for Lagos State Government through tax revenue every month, is yet to be paid by the state government to Tinubu. An application by the company to the governor for the release of the money, which runs into N3billion, was also sat on.
Fashola’s refusal to pay Alpha Beta may be in retaliation for Tinubu’s disposition towards authoritarianism. A two-faced democrat, the Asiwaju, who is the leader of the party, imposed his cronies on governors in all states Action Congress of Nigeria controls. This even caused a stir inOyoState, where ACN members took to the streets to protest the party’s leadership lack of internal democracy. InLagosfor instance, nearly all members of Gov. Fashola’s cabinet were foisted on him by Tinubu.
This retaliatory action by Fashola has depleted Tinubu’s finances considerably. It has also made Tinubu, a big spender, to cut down on his spending to align with his present financial position.
One of his companies recently bore the brunt of the cuts. Asiwaju, few days back sacked some workers in one of his media companies, National Life, with a hint that about 20 more people would soon follow. He also declared that the paper, which was a daily paper has now changed to twice a week.
Perhaps, something else contributed to the ugly situation in National Life.FormerLagosStateInformation & Strategy commissioner, Dele Alake, who is the intermediary between the investor, Tinubu, and Louis Odion who conceived the paper, took the rogue’s route when he diverted a large chunk of the seed capital. This made the paper to start on a shoestring budget.
This same Alake almost messed up another of Tinubu’s businesses, Continental Broadcasting Service, the parent company of TV Continental and Radio Continental, when he was the MD|CEO. He was arbitrarily helping himself to the company’s money, expanding in every direction, acquiring properties in Lekki and Ikoyi, and funding his children’s education in American universities at the expense of Continental Broadcasting Service that was struggling to build physical structures for its operations. Salvation later came when he was removed and one Mr. Lemmy took over from him.
Meanwhile the Godfather Bola Tinubu is alleged to be battling strange ailment and he was said to be flown abroad days back for further treatment.
Some of his aides said that the illness is stress induced while some also alleged that the way his godson treated him may have aggravated his problem.

The paper can fabricate whatever they want
ACN still waxes stronger
Re: Tinubu & Fashola In Fresh War by BigB11(m): 12:07am On Sep 30, 2011
Ashiwaju's trouble started when he forcefully imposed himself and his entire family on Lagos state politics, and when he intentionally betrayed CPC party.

Fashola I beg you please STAY AWAY FROM TINUBU. HE WOULD RUIN YOUR POLITICAL CAREER
He is a thief and has almost bankrupt Lagos with all his business and houses that HE used our money to build.
Tinubu knows the people love you and would be using that as a leverage but don't associate urself with him.
If you did any oath or JUJU before getting to power, I know one Imam that I can take you to that would remove that oath and give it back to
You are a good person and as such should do what is right before Allah/God

Bola Tinubu Acquires Kayode Odukoya’s Bellview Airline
With the pace things are going, it will only be a matter of time before the immediate past governor of Lagos State , Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, gets his name listed in the Forbes world’s richest list. Recent information reaching us is that the leader of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) has actually acquired the troubled Bellview Airlines of Dr. Kayode Odukoya and has in fact rechristened it First Nation Airline.
Though the airline has not begun flight operations, the Jagaban Bornu has acquired some aircraft to herald the smooth take-off of the business. Those who have seen the new aircraft parked at the domestic wing of the MMA 2 claimed that they have the same colour with the Tinubu-owned The Nation newspaper.
Though the amount the master politician purchased the airline could not be confirmed at the time of going to press, it will no doubt set the former governor back by millions of dollars. In fact, Aviation workers claimed that the ex-governor could not have paid anything less than $300 million for the acquisition of the airline.
It would be recalled that Chief Jimoh Ibrahim had earlier bought EAS Airlines, which he starved of funds before he later bought 49 percent shares of Virgin Nigeria which cannot be said to be in a steadier state than Bellview for more than $250 million.
We also gathered that in the politician’s strategy to shield his investment in the airline he decided to appoint the immediate past Managing Director/ Chief Executive Officer of the company, Dr. Kayode Odukoya as the Chairman of the airline. This is not the first time the politician would do such. Tinubu’s Commissioner for Information and Strategic Planning when he was the Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Dele Alake is the man at the helm of affairs at the broadcasting outfit Radio and Television Continental, also owned by the Asiwaju of Lagos.
A recent visit to the Ikosi office of the TV/Radio Continental further lays credence to Tinubu’s stupendous wealth. If he’s truly the owner of the companies linked to him, it is just a matter of time before Forbes list names him among the richest men in the world, as the structure that is being put in place there can only be rivaled by that of the satellite news station Aljazeera, and is believed to be in the range of hundreds of millions.
It was gathered that the man popularly called Asiwaju because of his chieftaincy title recently took over the cable TV that is gradually fading out of the market because of the right to beam the English Premier league that was takening away from it last year when the owner could not get a bank guaranty to enable it pay for the right. The involvement of the master political strategist may have brought a new lease of life into the cable station.
The accountant turned politician has also been linked to many properties outside the shores of this country, most especially in neighbouring Ghana . This is making many to wonder if the former director of Mobil Producing Nigeria is getting money from other sources other than politics.

I can't understand why Fashola is being such a coward when it comes to giving Tinubu a real punch in the eye.
Few govs are as popular as Fashola and he has the people fully backing him.
Fashola, sir! Give Tinubu a wicked straight jab, left hook and uppercut combination! Mesmerize the frog-like thief with deft footwork and brain rattling punch flurries! We de ya back, no shaking!

If truely Fashola did that, then its a credit to him and a step towards the rite direction. Expect his apologists to come here and start spewing rubbish and tell you how Tinubu's detractors are the one behind everything.

Re: Tinubu & Fashola In Fresh War by Relax101(m): 2:46am On Sep 30, 2011
Not greed but foolishness on his part. He can fight the war without stealing.
Same happened to Orji Uzor kalu. Strong men who got misled by the quest for blood money.
Practically they fought and won but they spoilt the fun with stolen funds, deceit and wicked acts beyond human comprehension.

Re: Tinubu & Fashola In Fresh War by foreman: 8:59am On Sep 30, 2011
Tinubu's name na sugar for these ants. see them plenty for here.
Fashola should not be carried away with his popularity, Buhari was more popular than him during the last elections. In fact Abiola was more popular than both of them. Tinubu is not a burden on him, he is infact his backbone. Nigerian politics is not for gentlemen, yet.

Come on Fash get his a.s.s! Nobody be God
Re: Tinubu & Fashola In Fresh War by Nobody: 9:42am On Sep 30, 2011
Fashola is lilly livered, he wont do anything to stop tinubus excesses cos he values his name and political career than lagos resources that are being embezzled by tinubu & co. Wouldnt be surprised if tinubu open a can of worms on fashola too if he attempt to make tinubu account for his deeds. I believe fashola is no saint, though tinubu runs the state but why allow tinubu free reign over lagos resources? That makes him an accomplice!
Re: Tinubu & Fashola In Fresh War by EkoIle1: 11:52am On Sep 30, 2011
We get these ridiculous and worthless stories like every week cooked together by pathetic PDP losers, they're not even worth paying attention to.
You are on point with the highlighted. Lagos is working simply because of the excellent relationship and tag team action between both men.
They are moving ahead, Lagos is moving ahead, but these losers shall for ever remain on the sidewalk doing what they do best which is peddling their rumors and garbage, it's a terrible burden, but obviously that's their portion in life.
Btw, this is tabloid news from a tabloid news paper.

Even though, many of us are busy focusing on PDP, but with confidence, I still believe that a major part of Tinubu's problem will come within his party, ACN. Just mark it down.

Re: Tinubu & Fashola In Fresh War by Logba: 4:14pm On Sep 30, 2011
Fashola or whoever needs to check the excesses of Tinubu. It is no doubt that he(Tinubu) is a talented and brilliant leader. But greed and totalitarianism should not be part of the game. Lagos is already boiling because of the imposition of LG chairmen in the coming October elections. It is always the same story. I mean this thing should have a democratic face if people must benefit from it.
18Billion per month to one company ? Few companies bank make such as profit per annum in Nigeria. It has to stop.
