My friend congrats o! Forgot those pains jo and just be thinking of the triplets running up and down in your house after this 8 yrs of loneliness. At least the OHSS is not in vain so just enjoy your new title like I said in my mail. God has done it, that should be your new song. I was admitted in the hospital for 3days due to OHSS with a BFn at the end, so my Dear, you have everything to thank God for. We are all praying for you and the triplets. Congrats!!!! And if you still need a third name, I'll give you an Urhobo name which I intend calling my child and you can translate the meaning into an ibo name. Oghene-ruonar or Oghene-runor. Ruona and Runor for short. Ruonar means It is God that did this while Runor means God has done many things.
Iya beta, congrats and me I'm already tapping into this blessing of triplets in Jesus name. AMEN.

This website you gave is full of depressing and sad IVF stories. Ectopic stories, low BETA stories, bleeding stories etc. I wish I hadn't clicked there because now I'm depressed and worried. cry cry
I'm sure your intentions were good and you were trying to pass information but I don't like reading negative stuff especially on this journey.

@Pslm23,
Don't worry about anything;instead, pray about everything.Tell God what you need and thank him for all he has done.Then you will experience God's peace, which exceeds anything we can understand.His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in christ Jesus. (phil 4:6-7)

Hi all the mothers in the house, i m really touched and encouraged after reading all the experiences and words of encouragement. I got married last year and joined my hubby recently.  so i have been worried why i have not taken in though since i came i have seen two gynacologist who confirm that i have no problem. When i arrieved  in europe for  six months, i will be having symptoms of pregnancy but before you say jack my menses is out. After doing in that way i  and my hubby decided to to see a gynacologist in different hospital  who confirms that i have no problem except i have an infection which was cured immediately. Secondly, because i was having constant pains on my colon and ccontinue fever at the night , i have to consult my doctor who directed me to carry out and analysis including preg test. i did about 13 test which was confirm i have a cytomegavirus  which  i was placed on antivirus drugs but my problem is after my menses stop i continue to have drop of blood. I had such experience initially when i consult a gyna who says that it is not dangerous .Also i have started taking clomid , i do alot of exercise,and my hubby have decided to go on sperm count analysis to be sure noting is wrong with him.

Pls  ladies what could be the course of this blood drop since i have consulted two different gynacologists in europe here. Pls help. My marriage is getting to 2yrs  though my hubby is much older than me.Am desperate pls,

Hi everyone. I don't have good news.
My BETA results are back and my numbers are too low. My RE says I'm having an arrested/chemical pregnancy and it won't stick. I've been asked to stop all meds and AF should be visiting soon and then it's back to the drawing board for me. I'm not giving up, not by a long shot.

I'm sad but I'm also strong and I have faith that it will happen. This was my first IVF and thanks to God for my job and insurance because I'm allowed to keep trying for at least 7 times until I reach age 48 and then my insurance won't cover it anymore.
You all have been soooooooo wonderful to me. Your prayers and warm thoughts have all been well appreciated. Don't be sad for me or even if you want to, don't let the sadness last any longer than 5 mins smiley and then please continue praying for me. I'll be fine. My full name is Uchechukwu which means "The Will of God". I know that just like my name, it is the will of God that I carry my own children.
I will keep y'all updated as I start my treatments all over again but this time, they are having me do a different protocol. God bless

uche the lord is with you. you are about to witness a strabge move from him. i am a living proof that he often does not need our help. i only got to know i wasnt supposed to coceive after three kids. there were long gaps and in between the first and second i sought for help and got too much of it. one day i woke up and counted cards from six different hospitals. i decided enough was enough and the next month it happened. we are all praying and we are too many that the cry is very loud in heaven.

Uche sweets, it is well  kiss

Isaiah 41 verse 10 is one of my favourite verses in times like this.

So do not fear, for I am with you;
do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you;
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

I also love Psalm 121. I always feel like I am embraced in a bear hug from God when I listen or read these verses.

Hmm take heart, it happened once so it will happen again. since you have FET, the process should be a lot more easier now. With no OHSS and less medications this time around, a second cycle should work without qualms. Take heart as I believe strongly that the Lord who started this good work in you will be faithful to complete it. We are all praying for you.

Went for some tests yesterday and we think we found what could have caused this sad outcome. Apparently, it seems like I still have some hydro in what was left of my cauterized right tube. I was told I had hydrosalpinx at the start of my IVF journey and this was caused by blocked tubed which had become infected and thereby created a toxic fluid they call hydrosalpinx. this fluid leaks into the uterine cavity where the growing embryo attaches to mature into a baby. This fluid is quite toxic to the embryos and will kill them.
I had my surgery back in August to permanently remove my tubes, the surgery took place but a section of my right tube which they  thought was not infected was left behind. Bad mistake.
Well, I'm going in for another surgery in November and after that it's back on this great big roller coaster ride again.

@ chaircover, thank you for that video clip. Where can i find more like that to watch?

To everybody who had a kind word for me and threw powerful prayers towards my direction, thank you from the bottom of my heart.

This hydrosalpinx stuff is responsible for most of the failed IVF we have even here in Nigeria. The only difference is that people are too scared here to remove their tubes even me (lol). It is well sha. At least they have seen what the problem is. But what I can't understand is why they didn't remove both at the same time when you consented to it. God will see you through this and I pray they are more careful this time around especially with the bladder stuff you had the other time. Take care Dear, I wish you all the best and be sure you have our prayers. Your clinic hasn't replied me yet with the price even after sending reminders.
Re: Anyone Trying IVF/IUI/ICSI (Fertility Treatments)? by pslm23(f): 3:46pm On Oct 29, 2011
@Rust2000, you are right. Even I thought real long and hard before finally saying yes to the removal of my tubes. After seeing what I saw on the scan and hearing what 3 other doctors said about the impossibility of me conceiving with those damaged tubes, I had no choice but to say yes. Here in the US, no IVF specialist will perform IVF with hydrosalpinx present. As long as that toxic fluid is leaking into the womb, then nothing will implant and grow there.
On this journey, we all have to be comfortable with whatever decision we make. I'm no longer a spring chicken. I'll be 38 in 4 months and 40 in 2 years. Time is not on my side anymore. For 9 years these tubes didn't do me any good.

Regarding my specialist, it was while trying to get at my right tube that my bladder was punctured in the first surgery because of all the heavy adhesion and scar tissues from my previous surgery in Abuja to remove a cyst on my ovary. She had cut away a part of the right tube when katakata came calling and so everything had to be stopped and another surgeon called in to repair my bladder before urine leaked into all my organs and thereby causing serious infections and possibly death.
I will call my clinic on Monday to talk to them about you. Did you send them an email? I have a list of their complete IVF price, I can scan and send it to you by email on Monday from my office. I still have your email address.

@Rust, it might be a good idea to come in for a consultation and maybe a comprehensive work-up (ultrasounds and blood work) you can compare it with the results of the tests you've had in Nigeria and the UK and then make your decision if you'd want to do IVF here based on what the RE says.

Thank you. I followed your thread on TTC'ing like an addict and was encouraged by the way people responded and tried to be a source of comfort to those of us on this tedious TTC'ing journey. I believe that when we share information that is helping us in something, we are helping someone else in the same situation. I was ecstatic when you announced your pregnancy and the birth of your son and i knew that someday my turn will come. You've been down the road of assisted reproduction by doing the IUI's so you know exactly what I'm going through.
Hubby and I always visit Maryland during the summer, it would be nice to meet you and finally put a face to the name.
Hugs to your son and God bless

sorry to hear about your ordeal with the doctors in abuja hospitals,i also had a bad experience with one the hospitals in abuja too, (but nothing to do with ivf) it was just bad ,really bad.
total negligence on the part of the doctor and a care free or should i say careless attitude on the part of the nurses i almost lost my child,their charges were exhorbitant and to think they knew what they were doing.

Anyways,don't be sad ,i'm sure you were really disappointed at the results of this recent trial .but not to worry its all going to be fine this time,because i'm still praying for you.
just take it easy and hang in there 'cos he makes everything everything beautiful in its time.
also read Psalm 91 its a portion of the bible i read everyday for 30days when i'm expecting blessings for that month.
