Kenny4real68:

Thanks for this detailed explanation
My tuition was paid through a third party in canada, the only proof of payment I have is my school tuition receipt. Hence, I will reapply using myself as main sponsor while I add uncle’s personal statement of account as co-sponsor.

Order for your GCMS note first before reapplying
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by Iceboyblog: 6:10am On Nov 19, 2023
Come to think of it do you provided proof of relationship with your uncle because that is a major reason for refusal based on some gcms note

Kenny4real68:
APPLICATION REFUSED!!! September 12th applicant

Reason: only based on financial situation

Sponsor: Uncle and myself as co-sponsor

Uncle Paid full tuition of $18,789 cad. ( note my program is one year PGC)

I have $6,000 usd in my Dom saving acc.

I also submitted my Naira account with about 18 million. ( though I have 8 million lump sum which I explained in my sop was sent by my uncle (sponsor) for living expenses. I even included evidence of transaction.

My sponsor submitted his company bank statement with closing balance of around 13 million , inflow 400 million and outflow out flow about 397 million

Now with all dis, how on earth was I refused based on financial status. Could it be the officer that handled my application was having a bad day or could it be the officer made mistake. I have seen people on this trend get refused, and they reapplied with same exact document and get approved.

My program is for January, I am thinking of reapplying, please any idea of what can be done different this time around.
Your suggestions would be greatly appreciated

@Zubizareta. Bobomaigida.
What's your take on this. It looks complicated. Is there a better way to explain lump sum and what else could be the cause of denial on finacial status.

Understanding Canada's study permit process is crucial. Prayer plays a significant role, and it's essential not to gauge your situation solely on others' experiences. The absence of eligibility review on your profile doesn't mean your application is overlooked. For instance, my wife did her biometrics on September 12th and received her PPR on October 6th, even though her profile still indicated ongoing background checks. Patience is key, as sending numerous emails within the expected timeframe may be seen as desperation. We have heard a story that someone received a visa without submitting an SOP. These VOs are brave psychologists, they know your intention 100 percent.Let's stay calm, pray, and trust the process. Things will work out positively.

Through your credit card or virtual card as posted by in the previous chapter. Flywire or whichever your school uses as medium for international students payment

Explaining the source of the funds with the investment certificate is not always sufficient. Some VOs probe the source of the invested funds, especially when you disclose a low income in your submission.

You need to order for your GCMS, looking at the information you shared based on the application submitted that was refused, share the assets you submitted in this application

There be a misrepresntation or false in his financial status from the VO, the best option is to order GCMS note

a lot of people reached out to me concerning the resources i used.

kindly access all the resources i used via this link.

https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1BAxEq1lD-BucqvJBeJOYf4i5uz2l8Yxh?usp=sharing

NOTE: Links to resources can also be found in the nairaland jotter.
You will find people's testimony and timelines as well. I used every of the details that can be found on Nairaland for my application.

I did not reach out to any agent or anyone to help review my SOP.

I used the guide here and drafted my own story from it.

NOTE: Avoid plagiarism ooooooo

I do not own any of the resources in the drive.

Everything can be found on nairaland.

Any chance you can help me with this or the template:

"16. Proof of Assets (Contract of sale of land) (pages 96 - 103)"

Tnx
