This is a good move and really commendable. However, what's more important is its widespe implementation. If the minimum wage becomes 60k, no employer (both public and private sectors) should be allowed to pay workers less than 60k. That's how sane countries work! That's because once this new minimum wage is implemented, it will trigger inflation in the country.

How I wish people understand this message, when minimum wage is doubled it doesn't translate to double your salary as a Civil Servant, the consequential adjustment wouldn't still translate to double ones salary

Open border, ease the sufferness.. Minimum wage only pays govt worker of which govt job is hard to get if you don't buy slots.

Also, people will double their price of goods and it will affect people that are not working for govt, the common man

Fuel price was never doubled, was tripled. The double minimum wage will have lil to no positive impact. It should at least be tripled too.

Minimum wage should not be less than a 100$ with currency convention rate of #896 I.e #89600 or better still 90k

Doubling minimum wage now will skyrocket inflation, it's better we get out rifinaries working ist to bring down the price of fuel as most commodities depends on fuel price

Minimum wage means the least for the least level staff.
So someone on grade level 01 will receive N60,000 but guess what? There's no govt staff that is on grade level 01.

So, with the new development... anyone earning N100k will get double

My salary back den wt a private company was 15k but my take home was 75k monthly.
Usually level 8 in Lagos get about 125k so the take home can be 155k if na Buhari dan man will nvr listen.

Remember it took only a directive of one day to remove subsidy, and since then civil servants have been turned into beggars.
But to increase minimum wage , it's taking ages. Is it after civil servants have all died dt it will be increased?
Again, if salaries of workers of fg, state and lg are not harmonised and the money for the adjustment factored into monthly allocation to states and lgas, then , the aim of minimum wage increase is in vain as it will only favour fg workers only as a lot of states still struggle to pay 30k.
