First and foremost, suicide or attempted suicide is a crime against the state. Before counselling, the crime part needs to be addressed. Isn't it curious that the state which doesn't care if one exists or not becomes an issue when the wretchedness it foisted off on the citizenry leads to suicide attempt?

She needs to go to Christ Jesus in repentance.
That is the only way out of her state of depression.
The Christ Spirit will heal the wounds of her heart and give her peace and joy.
There is no life outside communion with the Christ Spirit.
This woman needs compassion at this point in her life.

A police station is not a place of safety neither are police officers fully trained and qualified mental health practitioners or doctors. People detained under the mental health act should be conveyed to hospital or Mental Heath Units for assessment and treatment.
