I think it's time Igbo communities across the entire SE start ostracizing and banning families who allow their daughters or sons marry yorubaas, when there are far better tribes in the South South they can marry from if they have to go inter-tribal.

See mumu, same Betty when to imo to contest for Senate you sent her back. Bcoz she marry YORUBA, now your sister is to given LCDA as chairperson.

Yoruba tribalism is mostly born out of a misconceived sense of inadequacy. One may be tempted to go so far as to use the term inferiority complex.

I honestly do not see where anyone could reasonably suggest that the Yoruba are inadequate, but there is this seeming lack of self-confidence in the average Yoruba that lends itself to this assumption.

Their grandparents and parents have influenced salacious tales of Igbo domination and greed to this day. , which is why the average uneducated Yoruba still claims that the Igbo went to war because they want to confiscate all the oil deposits for themselves.

This is the false narrative some of them have brainwashed their children with to compensate for their failure to remain competitive, and the result of these evil, malicious, moonlight stories is now with us.

How else would you justify selling your ancestral inheritance to a complete stranger, albeit one who lost everything in a war but bounced back so quickly?.

My Yoruba brothers and sisters, Omo-Ibo are not your problem. They are definitely not your obstacle to whatever you want to achieve for yourselves.

They attend and contribute to your various Yoruba-owned churches. Not only that, they attend your schools, shop in your markets, live in your communities, and yes, they pay your taxes.

What exactly is the difficulty with the people you most intermarry within Nigeria that the mention of Igbo stirs the bile in you?

Politics? We must all understand that politics in Nigeria has no tribe. Politics is the tribe of politicians. They are always united in their exploitation of the rest of us and we the people are the products they trade. Period.

Y'all really need to stop this nonsense and quickly.

Sardauna, Ahmadu Bello voiced same concern shared by Yoruba. Bello instructed his people to deal with Ibo fckup. Akintola issued same concern. Both of them are on record for warning their people about Ibo. Adaka Boro did same with his people in Delta and sought a separation from Ibo. Are you saying they are all wrong ..and Ibo is the only one right?

By the way, everyone of them was murdered by Ibo and you are yet to pay a price for these killings.

Why on earth would any Yoruba go to a dry land that's without any prospect ? To go and do what precisely ? You can't force any Yoruba to go to the land the natives themselves are running away from, don't you get it ?! Would you have left your own land for another if it were prosperous for you ?

There is a reason why every Emeka and Chukwudu always want to go to Yoruba land nah ! Perhaps, you didn't know; a certain Mr Nnamdi Azikiwe,in the first republic, also preferred to be the Premier of the old Western Region as against his own native Eastern Region ! The question you need to answer is; what is attracting you Igbos to the Yoruba land ? Hundreds have arrived in Lagos alone this morning !

Every Nigerian wants to go to America but is it every American that wants to come to Nigeria ? Think about it and be truthful to yourself !
So why the fuss about not getting any appointment in SE when you believe Igboland is not habitable?? This is pure madness. Same place you resent is the same place you want ur people to be appointed because few Igbos got appointment in Yorubaland. I don't know if ewedu and gbegiri dey affect common sense.

The Igbo you gave political post, did you appoint them while they live in.Igbo land? They must have contributed in the governors campaign or some sort. The governor did not travel ABA to pick someone he picked someone from his circle. That's the advantage the Igbos have in this Nigeria. They mix and mingle, they are socially mobile but you can't say such for Yorubas. Travel out, mix and live with other tribes you may be lucky your friend become a governor. Don't hate the player rather hate the game.
Yorubas hardly travel beyond Ore, SW.

Oooo Oga mention the names of em oil and gas industry na let's cross check

N296bn for Delta, Edo got N37bn — how oil-producing states shared derivation fund in 2022

Data from the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) showed that Abia, Akwa Ibom, Anambra, Bayelsa, Delta, Edo, Imo, Ondo, and Rivers were states that received the fund.

The 13 percent derivation fund comes from the federation revenue to oil-producing communities through the state governments as enshrined in section 162, sub-section 2 of the Nigerian constitution.

Analysis of the report by TheCable Index showed that Delta state received the highest allocation totalling N296.63 billion, representing 31 percent of the total revenue from the derivation account.

Delta is followed closely by Akwa Ibom, having received N222.52 billion, representing 19 percent of the total disbursement during the period.

Other states include Bayelsa (N188.02 billion), Rivers (N169.79 billion), Edo (N37.49 billion), Ondo (N25.95 billion), Imo (N18.61 billion), Abia (N6.95 billion), and Anambra (N4.25 billion).

The 13 percent derivation fund is different from the three percent provided for host communities in the PIA from the oil company’s operating expenses (OPEX).

Issue 14-day ultimatum to oil firms, others

Ernest Chinwo in Port Harcourt

Ninety-seven oil producing and host communities in Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area (ONELGA) of Rivers State have lamented the failure of the federal government and oil companies operating in the area to bring development to the communities despite their contribution to the economy.

They have subsequently issued a 14-day ultimatum to oil companies operating in the area, including the Nigeria Agip Oil Company (NAOC), Total Exploration and Production Nigeria (TEPNG), Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC), Addax Petroleum Development Company, and others to relocate their headquarters to the area in line with the Nigerian Content Act.

The communities, under the aegis of ONELGA Host Communities Stakeholders’ Forum, have also issued a 14-day ultimatum to Nigerian Liquefied Natural Gas (NLNG) Limited, Greenville Oil and Gas Limited and Indorama Eleme Petrochemicals to enter into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with them to develop the area as a mega city.

Addressing journalists at Omoku, headquarters of ONELGA, after a rally by youths and women of the communities, Chairman of ONELGA Host Communities Stakeholders Forum, Chief Nelson Ekperi, lamented that the area which produces the bulk of oil and gas that sustains the nation had been abandoned and neglected over the years.

He lamented: “Whereas ONELGA produces 56.6 per cent of gas feed tuck to the NLNG in Bonny, ONELGA has not benefited from the federal government apart from the Federal College of Education, Omoku that is declared as the worst Federal College of Education in Nigeria in terms of infrastructural projects.

“More pathetic is the fact that the Eleme Petrochemical Industry now operated by Indorama receives 100 per cent of it gas feed tuck from gas produced by Nigerian Agip Oil Company (NAOC) in ONELGA but no benefit accrues to the L.G.A whereas Eleme, the host community of the company enjoys 10 per cent equity shares of its benefit.â€

Ekperi also noted that the area hosts two major gas recycling plants at Obiafu/Obrikom (Omoku) and Obite Gas Plant as well as Egbema-Ebocha Oil Centre, Idu Mini Gas Plant, with a total average production capacity of 49 per cent of gas to the Nigerian economy, adding that the area is the largest on-shore oil and gas producing local government area of Rivers State and Nigeria on unit basis.

The above reports corroborate my claim that Alaigbo contributes a large percentage of the oil and gas business and receipts to the federation account! You satisfied with the proof or you still have a different opinion?
