Truth be told if you had a choice, would you go to school in Liegeria? What makes you think that foreigners would come to Nigeria to study knowing fully well that the educational system in Liegeria is nonexistent? If those who run your country and the citizens themselves have no faith in the system, you do NOT expect otherwise from foreigners. They do.I once had a guy from The Gambia , He came for masters at OAU.

It was a scholarship from one of the top banks in his country. I was surprised the day he told me he has 3wives.

Not really. We once had a lecturer at the Dept Of Mathematics and Computer Science, Dr C.K Wrights. He used to lecture at the University Of Newcastle, UK.

This lecturer is one of the best human being and teacher you’d ever meet!

Back in the early 90s when I was at UI, we had many foreign students, hundreds of palestinians/lebanese. I learnt most were sponsored or supported by fgn. Same also we had 100s of south Africans, also financed by fgn in support of the anti apartheid movement. Those ones drank beer in crates as did Cameroonian students. We also had west African students from the 2 major wars Liberia and serria Leone.
We had Indian too, even American students on exchange programs.

I had Chadians, Nigeriens, and Cameroonians in my class and faculty in ABU.

Lots of them are in exchange Programs to Study the Yoruba Culture and Language. They even speak Fluent Yoruba even more than the Yorubas themselves.

Tell the losers of elections that People are still coming to Nigeria not just study but Foreigners love Nigeria! Some Nigerians are still brooding over election loss,as if 4- yrs will not come again or how Patriotic are we to be making all sorts of Negative on the Country?

Them plenty for UI. Aside from those guys from West African countries like Gambia, Senegal, and middle east countries, like Lebanon some are from US and European countries like France Germany and so on. But these come to study courses like Yoruba, culture, ifa, ijala ode, etc

We waste our money servicing foreign economies..

Most of the parents training their children abroad end up very broke..


Another reason for our endless poverty..
